  1. Re: Go from Hi Res FLAC to Apple Lossless without a hitch???

I do this all the time, but iTunes can also play 48k. I downsample lots of 96k 24bit files to play in iTunes as 48/16. IMHO, 96k converts to 48k much easier than going to 44.1k and, since iTunes...

Where are PREFS saved for Mac version?

I just installed on a new Mac and want to get all of the presets I've created in a different controlroom. Have looked in the obvious places and don't see anything.

    Thanks
  4. Re: Problem with Converting 24bits/44.1KHz ALAC to MP3

I don't think MP3s can deal with 24-bit files. Have you tried dithering to 16-bit as a DSP function before conversion?

Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter OS X Discussions

Apologies to Spoon, I found the problem. Since I have a Mac with 24 processors, dBpoweramp uses them all... which is GREAT, except when it's trying to write 24 WAV files at one time. The poor...

Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter OS X Discussions

The latest v15.1 is having problems doing Multi-Encodes, which I thought was fixed a while ago. I'm starting with a 24bit 44.1k WAV file and am doing a 256kMP3 and adding dithering to 16bit. At the...

Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter OS X Discussions

I think I mentioned this several months ago and have opted to use the Win version running Parallels for multi encodes. I still use the Mac version for everything else.

Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter OS X Discussions

Not entirely true, there's an OSX app I use called iVolume that does an amazing job with ReplayGain, and allows you to adjust the threshold at which it works. http://www.mani.de/en/ivolume/

    Not...

Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter OS X Discussions

Just tried doing a MULTI encode to MP3 256kCBR and WAV 16bit from 44.1k/24bit WAV files. Adding DSP options, dither to 16bit and TAG manipulation, isn't quite as smooth as on the Windows version. In...

Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter OS X Discussions

There's an app called MAX that's a good ripper, or XLD. I use both for ripping and encoding to FLAC. What I really need for work is a good batch encoder for multiple formats. In the 'professional'...
  12. Script to change TITLE based on characters in ORIGFILENAME

I have radio programs I need to SRC from 44.1k to 48k and rename using batch convert. I've tried using several of the dynamic script ideas, but nothing seems to work.

What I'm trying to do is...

Re: Will it run on a Virtual Server?

Thanks! I think we'll also order Audio Conversion Engine. Makes TOTAL sense for what we want to do.

Will it run on a Virtual Server?

We use dBP to encode lots of radio programs as MP2 for distribution. We're upgrading our server setups and wonder if it will run Hyper-V? (I'm not sure what that is, but that's what my IT guy...

    Real Media extension change

We use dBpoweramp for converting radio programs to WMA, Real and MP2. The 'distributor' that takes WMA and Real files has a problem with the Real extension .ra, as their FTP site specifically looks...
