Running Asset 6.2 on a QNap.

Done and noted thanks. I'm still getting a mismatch on the number of tracks scanned between Asset versions and PerfecTunes. That loks related to sjbabbey issue so will retest once that fix is out....

Debug logs in the Dropbox. Scan spped is about right, about an hour and ten minutes. But scan remains incomplete and folders in New Albums and Recent Albums show the album but show no tracks within...

This morning I've stopped and restarted Asset, on restart it commmenced a new full scan, which was still thousands short of the track total it should be.

I then uninstalled R6.5 Registered, left...

Great minds! :) Had started that and it seemed to initiate a full scan. On completion it is now reporting 53,952 tracks.So still not complete. Next?

So this was looking good! On the last beta the scan completed, the playlists were added and no issues seen with either the old invalid paths or witht he corrected paths. So all was good.

Rescan All appears not to be working? Page says rescanning all, but when you return to the main page the tracks and albums is as was and does not say its scanning and there appears to be no increase...

OK.. doing now.. will be a good few hours before it completes as other jobs now running on the QNap.

Oh wow ! Feel like thats might large bug we've swatted. Do you want me to run a debug scan with the new beta?

Worked out a better way to recover the QNap host. R6.5b4 logs in a new folder in the Dropbox share. I'm back on R6.1 with a fresh scan completed.

Beta 4 still got issues on a fresh full scan. Installed, it started and then seemd to re-index the database or something doing a very quick 'scan'. On doing a rescan of all it has ground the QNap...

Nice bug catch :)Although I had the memory utilisation issue on scanning, didnt even get to browse. So one check.. Am I doing an in-place upgrade then a new full scan, or uninstall 6.1 and fresh beta...

I'm loathed to, to be honest... By the time I uninstall R6.1, restart the NAS run R6.4 and watch for it peaking on the memory, and then uninstall again, restart and then reinstall R6.1 to get working...

So R6.1 scan went a treat. The only differance was that I did not include a playlist foler to scan as I realsied all thepaths in them are no longer valid.

Sure enough got to 66,000 tracks, memory utilisation started to peak at 99pc (of 16GB with minimal services running) and then hung and progressed no further for an hour. Had previously been making...

So R5.1.1. PRemium Registered completed scanning overnight. My guess is it took about eight hours which is far longer than I recall but I guess it;s easy to overlook how quickly your library grows.

I'd also like this option and for it to follow the dynamic list count value. Whenever you edot the metadata it effectively trashes the New Albums list.
