I usually rip with Wave ID Tagging set to (Default - List & ID3)...in this setting, if I rip wave without ReplayGain DSP to write any RG tags, the tags will still show in Windows Explorer like it...
Please read the last two update posts above...but here is also something else I have discovered.
AFTER UPDATE, if I rip a CD to wav with ReplayGain DSP in effect and RG tags are written to the new...
Further update to above last reply:
I noted in the 2023.12.22 update that it changed "WAV: Change tag type if asked to save ReplayGain and existing tags can't hold ReplayGain.".
So I just did a...
Question remains what changed in DMC dbPoweramp in these last two updates that caused this problem?
I have ripped over 71,000 wav tracks using dbPoweramp ripper and never had a problem until I did...
Additional info: Works okay with FLAC.
Problem only appears with wav.
By the way, this is the 2nd attempt at updating and the same thing happened last time.
I didn't have time to research the issue, so that time I did a system restore back to the older dbPa version...
Running Windows 10 64 bit.
Everything working fine.
Updated to 2024-02-01 [64 Bit].
Suddenly for any new rips after the update, pretty much all metadata for artist, album, title, etc. is not...
FINALLY figured it out.
Somehow, the "Bit Depth" dropdown box in Encoder had got changed from "as source" to "16 bit", so dBpa was outputting everything as 16 bit regardless of any DSP's engaged....
Yes, I have tried the last disc successfully ripped with HDCD with 2116k output files and my dBpa ripper no longer works on that disc either...only outputs 1411k files now.
I'm very familiar with...
When dBpa HDCD DSP was working, I would get 2116k output files.
Problem now is I'm only getting a 1411k 16 bit rip no matter what.
My HDCD DSP suddenly not working...only outputs 1411k 16bit files.
HP desktop running Windows 10.
dBpoweramp R17 original download and now with 2023-01-20 update installed.
Verified issue on...
I can personally confirm that is not the case unless I am not understanding something.
I personally ripped all of them from my CD collection and separated all multi-artists with a semi-colon...
My music library is 50,000 wav files, so when ripping I rely on the converter ID TAG UPDATE and the manipulation check box for "Multiple Artists to 'Artist 1; Artist 2'(for non multiple artist aware...
I just got a new computer with Windows 10 and installed DBPA R16.6.
(I was using R14.4 on Windows 7 machine previously.)
I too am experiencing this white line thru the artwork thumbnail in the...
Well, the majority of the dynamic naming is still set by the Naming Box in the lower left hand corner, right?
I know the ID Tag Processing DSP can be used to do some things like modify characters,...
The naming I have been using under R14.4 was:
[IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[IFCOMP]Various Artists[][IF!COMP][artist][][]\[album]\[artist] [album] [track] [title]
While I realize that I...
I recently moved to a new Windows 10 desktop computer.
I had been using DBPA R14.4 on my old Windows 7 machine.
With my move to the new computer, I decided to try out the newer R16 version, but I...
I'm using 14.4 Registered...is there a dBPoweramp Control Centre in my version?
I know where the restricted characters setting is in Ripper and maybe ID Tag Processing DSP but not anywhere else.
No...
And just as an aside, I had been trying it as shown in the screen shot below with using the same dynamic naming scheme as my DBPA ripper settings.
The screen shot shows how the converter did exactly...
Okay, so I tried your suggestion and here's what I got.
My original file before conversion:
2594
I set my converter as follows:
2598
And I have DSP ID Tag Processing set to supposedly...
Let me try again with possible more clarity (I'm too late to edit the above entry)
I have a very large library of wav files which are very consistently tagged and named.
I want to rename my files...
I have a very large library of wav files which are very consistently tagged and named.
I want to rename my files (no tag changes)to insert a "-" (hyphen)so that my files will be more in line with...
Spoon,
Was anything ever figured out on this issue?
I reverted back to Windows 7 because my wav file tags were not showing in Windows 10 like they had been in Windows 7.
I am ready to buy...
It's only a problem for WAVE files.
I have tested it with MP3 and FLAC to verify that the ALBUM ARTIST column DOES display album artist in Windows 10 just as it always did in Windows 7.
It's...
