  1. Re: Restrict tags to Artist, Title, and Genre

You can try to delete the album tag by using the DSP "ID Tag Processing", which allows to map, delete, manipulate and add tags.

But aside of that, I don't understand your motivation to spend the...

    Re: Cd Ripping error

Did you set the naming string within the settings of each encoder or did you set the naming string in the main window?

  3. Re: RIP CD in WAV format using up sample rate option

Upsampling and increasing the bit depth does not improve the sound quality. Audio CD's sample rate is 44.1 kHz and 16 bit/ch bit depth.

  4. Re: Restrict tags to Artist, Title, and Genre

You can config in the options ("CD Ripper Options" -> "Tags & Filenames" -> "Meta Data & ID Tag" -> "Options") which tags will be written.

Re: 16bit to 24bit not make sense?

No, upsampling or increasing the bit depth does not improve the sound quality. It just increases the file size, but not the information in the file.

    Re: CD Ripper Options Question

No, there is no difference in the sound quality as long as you have accurate rips. The process of ripping music is nothing more and nothing less than a digital read-out of data. The difference...
  7. Re: On one of my CD, one track keeps getting error

You can try to clean the CD and/or rip with a different drive. If you have no luck, accept the defective tracks or buy another copy of that CD.

  8. Re: How do you re-rip only the track that has an error?

Re: Copyright Symbol in Tag Editor.

Unicode UTF-8 charaters are coded in 1 up to 4 bytes. A correct wave list tag expects 1 byte per character. So if Audition has written multiple bytes per character those are decoded byte by byte and...

Re: ID Tag Update limited to 500x500

You can overwrite the max size by hand. I.e. I use 800 px * 800 px for the hifi system in my car, which is not able to show a higher resolution than that.

  11. Re: Ripping a CD into a single continuous track?

    Hey Joe,

if you use a player (software), that is capable to play gapless, then there is no need to rip all tracks as one.

You can configure the album art size.

But the best feature is accurate rip.

Re: Multiple disc tagging and playback

Using option 2 is not a contradiction to using option 3 and vice versa. You can use both options easily and automated in parallel, if you set up your naming string right.

Re: Multiple disc tagging and playback

    Hey dmulvey,

I for myself prefer the mixture of 2. and 3. I rip all tracks in one folder, tag them with their disc number and use a naming string including the disc number. So most players can...
  18. Re: Simple and Fast Right-click Extract Cover Art

    Hey Dropbear,

I couldn't follow your reasoning in post *6, because a simple resizing needs no extracting of the album art. If you only need to resize the album art to 500 px * 500 px, you can...
  19. Re: Simple and Fast Right-click Extract Cover Art

    Hey Dropbear,

wasn't the thread about extracting the album art?

You can resize the files in place without the need for exporting, resizing and re-importing.

Re: Metadata is no longer retrieved

    Hey Marnix,

"dbpoweramp implemented own freedb server to combat the retiring of the old freedb.org"

But aside of that I've just tested the metadata...
  21. Re: Simple and Fast Right-click Extract Cover Art

Why don't you export the album arts with Batch converter instead of doing it manually? With "ID Tag Update" this is an easy job.
