  1. Re: Problems Ripping multiple copies of same CD with different drives

My next step would be to try and rip the CD with something like iTunes, as a test. Does it rip with another ripper? You can rip to ALAC (lossless), then convert to FLAC with dbpa if you are using...
  2. Re: When you rip a CD, how can you make it go into jut one folder instead of two fold

just put the parentheses in both places around the [album artist] or [artist]
    ([album artist])
    ([artist])

    Re: Tag problems

Naming and folder creation is not random, but based on how you have setup your path and dynamic naming string. See:

Re: Show already ripped tracks in R17?

In CD Ripper screen, click on green MENU item at top, then select "retrieve metadata from" in the dropdown menu, then tick dbpoweramp cache as one of the options.
  5. Re: When you rip a CD, how can you make it go into jut one folder instead of two fold

Use this. Not sure what it will do if there is NO artist and NO albumartist.

    [MAXLENGTH]240,[IFCOMP]Various Artists [album]\[IFMULTI][disc].[][track] - [title][][IF!COMP][IFVALUE]artist,[album]...

Re: Show already ripped tracks in R17?

Feature did not change on my end. But not sure why not working for you. Something to do with cache??
  7. Re: Want to confirm: applying RG to existing MP3 files doesn't convert the file again

correct. It only adds ReplayGain tags, and does not modify the file audio.

    Re: 2021 iMac CD Drive

I have used various cheapo drives. That is the beauty of accuraterip matching. Drive does not matter much.

Re: Old (but new) iHAP422 - worth it to use?

With AccurateRip, almost any drive will work fine. Key is that different drives may behave differently with different CDs. Always good to have 2 or 3 possible drives. Sometimes a $5 cheap drive will...
  10. Re: Poor quality artwork when downloading/syncing albums with 'large' folder.jpg to i

OK. Just a thought. I'm just another user like you.
  11. Re: Problems Ripping multiple copies of same CD with different drives

cheapo is fine. That's the beauty of AccurateRip checking. I have several super cheap drives that rip just fine. And some 10 year old drives pulled out of junker old Dell desktops. All good.
  12. Re: Poor quality artwork when downloading/syncing albums with 'large' folder.jpg to i

Are you sure you haven't let WMP (Windows Media Player) touch these files in the past. Without turning off some things that are ON by default, WMP can wreak havoc on artwork in album folders by...
  13. Re: Batch Conversion Issue with Retaining File Structure

    great. You're very welcome.
  14. Re: Batch Conversion Issue with Retaining File Structure

After you select the CONVERT in your batch converter, you'll get a popup screen which has the encoding at the top (showing ALAC), and then OUTPUT TO about halfway down. On the dropdown for "output...
  15. Re: Batch Conversion Issue with Retaining File Structure

What's your "output to" settings. If, for example, your current files are in:

    c:\flac\artist\album\....

and you want the converted files to be same folders and names, but in ALAC instead:
    ...
  16. Re: When you rip a CD, how can you make it go into jut one folder instead of two fold

correct. 1/1 it doesn't think is a multiple CD set. So it doesn't use discnumber in naming. But 2/3 (or 1/3, 3/3 etc.) it sees as a multiple disk set.
  17. Re: How well does dbPowerAmp handle SATA drives connected by a SATA to USB adapter?

I've experienced the same as Oggy.
  18. Re: When you rip a CD, how can you make it go into jut one folder instead of two fold

I suspect you didn't enter the disc number for metadata when you ripped the 2nd CD.

Re: Only Manual Metadata Search works

I mean security program blocking the internet path to the metadata providers but somehow the manual path being different. I am not 100% sure about anything. I am just another user like you. :)

Re: Only Manual Metadata Search works

In my case, once data providers ticked in settings, I automatically get metadata from one or more providers on 99.9% of my CDs. So something is odd, but not sure what. The "blocking" idea is...

Re: Only Manual Metadata Search works

Have you ticked all the boxes next to metadata sources ("retrieve metadata from" menu item in dropdown menu for tagging on CD RIPPER page)?
  24. Re: When you rip a CD, how can you make it go into jut one folder instead of two fold

or this if you don't want separate disc subdirectories for multidisks. And if you want the compilations to be in directory called "Various Artists", change "Compilations" below with "Various...
  25. Re: When you rip a CD, how can you make it go into jut one folder instead of two fold

just delete the "[artist] -" parts, like this:
