Feature request: Save art to file

    I am using 16.1 registered.

This is to request an added item on the "..." album art menu: Save to File.

Why? Sometimes the available art has minor flaws that can be corrected in an external...

    Re: Editing after ripping?

As said, there are many ways to do this. Spoon has given one. On the PC, the free program mp3tag can do it. And most music players can do this. J River Media Center does a very good job.
  3. Re: Option to not clear tag fields when switching discs in CD ripper

Hi, yoodge. I missed your request when I checked the forum lately, so I posted essentially the same request on 27 Oct 2013 under the topic "Save metadata for Disc n of N". I hope that Dr. Spoon will...

Save metadata for Disc n of N

My wish is that dbpa would save and recall metadata for Disks 2...N of multidisk sets, just as it does when you remove a disc and reinsert in another drive for re-ripping. Metadata would include...

    Re: Uppercase All First Characters

I would like to add, this is not a trivial issue. As a classical music lover, I have been ripping my collection. A lot of the online metadata is capitalized incorrectly because of these automatic...
  6. Re: PerfectTUNES Album Art - can we use a file we already have?

Ah . . . I confused Perfect Meta with Perfect Tunes.
  7. Re: PerfectTUNES Album Art - can we use a file we already have?

Unless I am missing your question, I do this all the time. Hit the "-" above the album art to remove it. Then drag your file to the same place (CD case picture). HTH

    When to restart

After adding new tracks to the music library, is it enough to click "Rescan Library Detecting Changes", or should one also click "Restart Asset"? Or neither? -- doesn't Asset rescan automatically?...

    Re: Metadata Question

I haven't set up anything as sophisticated as that. It's not what I would want, either. However, many of the freedb metadata entries are set up that way -- doesn't that work for you?

    Additional caching

The caching provided is great. I am requesting an addition:

When a multi-disc that in inserted that is not the last of the set, would it be possible to cache the following?

I just started using two instances of the ripper, one for each CD drive in my system. I have observed that if the two instances are using different profiles (which in my case means two different...

    Bad sorting of multidisc albums

    Dear Mr. Spoon,

I have checked "Multi-Disc Albums show as '[Disc] [Track] [Title]'"

    A set with 10 discs sorts into the order: 1, 10, 2, 3, ..., 9

Can this oversight please be fixed, so that...

I understand the points made. Still, four is a very small number for this. Think of a jazz sextet or a string quartet with a couple of added instruments. A better number, unlikely to be exceeded (at...

    Feature Request: UNDO

I am ripping a lot of Classical music, including many older recordings with very sketchy metadata online. That means a lot of editing in dBpa before ripping (and often, more editing later).
