    Re: Rip x 6

Just to throw my two cents in. I built a computer specifically for ripping CDs. It has 9 Optical drives in it (A LARGE tower). I originally was going to use batch ripper, but found that I am too...

Re: CD Ripper Change Of Genre

I've noticed something like this a few times. What I found was I had highlighted one of the track titles, then changed the genre for the whole CD. When I ripped the CD, the genre changed for only...

    Re: Upload cover art?

    Not sure what happened to this post, as I posted it once, but this website does accept submissions, you just have to be a member and they have very strict rules;

Re: Scanning album art in 17.3 stopped working

Its a bug in the software. (Sorry Spoon. I should have reported this already. I forgot.) The scanner window always seems to pop up in the upper left corner of the main screen. And always seems to pop...

Re: Scanning album art in 17.3 stopped working

I’ve had this happen to me. The scanner window popped up under the other windows on the screen. It was working for me, just had to change the focus to the scanner window. Maybe this is your problem...
  7. Re: Start CD Ripper (cdgrap.exe) from command line with parameters?

I’ve tried batch ripper. It doesn’t seem to be as good at metadata as the regular ripper. And while I can set it to review data before ripping, it’s more convenient to have 4 instances of ripper...
  8. Re: Start CD Ripper (cdgrap.exe) from command line with parameters?

Actually, I’d like to be able to do this also. It would be nice to run a batch script that would start 4 instances of cd ripper each set to a different drive. I have 4 cd drives in my computer and...

    CD Ripper Questions

Spoon, two quick questions about the CD Ripper program:

    1) Are there any command line switches to use when opening the CDGrab.exe program? I have a computer with 4 cd drives in it, and would like...

    Re: Improvement Suggestion

You do know that you can open two instances of the ripper, and rip two CD's at one time. I do it all the time. Fix the metadata one the first, start it ripping, then fix the data on the second CD,...
  13. Re: Delete whole album folders when one track has an error

I was wondering the same thing. Probably just a SPAMbot.
  14. Re: Delete whole album folders when one track has an error

I second this, but instead of deleting the folder, move it to another directory of your choosing, like \Bad Rips (or something similar). I know this has been brought up before.

Re: Using 2 IDE drives at the same time...???

Just FYI, I have run up to eight instances of DBPA at one time. It works perfectly, but gets confusing, and you need at least two big monitors to keep moving from program to program. I do use batch...

Re: Using 2 IDE drives at the same time...???

Just to add to this, Master/Slave and Cable Select are basically the same thing. Setting to Master/Slave means you have to put the drives on the correct plug on the cable yourself. Example, the...

    Re: Batch Ripper Machine Recommendations

If it helps, I have a custom built rig for ripping, and AMD 9750 Quad Core 2.40 GHz, 8 GB ram, Win7 64 bit. It has CD/DVD drives in it, a mix of brands, all but one SATA. It has one IDE drive just...
  19. Re: One PC (quadcore) with 6 CD player, OK for batch ripper ?

Nothing really special. Just a standard case I got at Frey's, with 6 open CDRom bays in it. I loaded the six DVD/CD drives into it, hooked some to the internal sata connectors, and some to a 4 port...
  20. Re: One PC (quadcore) with 6 CD player, OK for batch ripper ?

For those of you toying with this idea, I have an AMD quad core cpu, 8gigs of ram, and 6 ESATA CD/DVD drives, all in one tower. I use various brands of drives, so if one hangs, I can try a different...
