My wishlist for 2008 (which is a very short one) :
- I'd like just one entry for the dBpowerAmp music convertor in the software list of windows. All the encoder codecs register as a seperate...
Have you tried Altiris SVS ?
Maybe you can port your application (musicmatch) from XP to Vista somehow ?
You might also find a solution in search and replace programs to do the trick for...
I've scripted a dBpowerAmp 12 plugin for encoding with the new musepack SV8 beta coder (mpcenc).
It's at my personal space :
http://dirkvl.dommel.be/MPC_SV8.exe
I've tried some encodings at 90...
At mihd.net, they deleted my .exe file (Why ? Can't they hold stuff forever ? :) )
So I'm posting the Winamp AAC convertor plugin for dBpowerAmp 12 at my personal webspace :
...
I wish it was that simple. The file is created, but without any contents.
Sorry, giving up on the mp4 container.
But I can always use the conversion aac->mp4.

Spoon,
I do appreciate the hint, but haven't got a clue how to get this done in dMCv12.
I also haven't got a clue which dll to use.
Could you be more specific please ?
Kind regards,
-Dirk-
I've tried boxing it into an mp4 container with a more recent enc_aacplus.exe, but it always jams at the end of the encoding process.
Here's what I've got so far :

I've been trying out the new dMC v12 and noticed that my old plugin for winamp aac conversion didn't work anymore.
Therefore I've adapted the script so that it would work with v12.
The latest...
I agree with Razgo. Q4 (approx 128 kbps) sure is enough for good quality.
That's my personal opinion, off course. If you have really good ears, I think maybe Q5 or Q6 is more your cup of tea. But...
You could also try incorporating "speex", the (free) open source voice compression codec. It can be found at http://www.speex.org/
Windows binaries can be used and integrated into you program and...
Dimzon has uploaded a new enc_aacplus.exe and it looks good !
I've created a new aac plugin with options file adapted for using LC-AAC or HE-AAC.
Winamp 5.2 is required (the exe I've made copies...
Converting mp3's works fine with me.
I use WXP SP1 with updates.
There's a new lancer build out : lancer20060303.
And this one works just like the old one. :smile2:
The SSE2 plugin can be used, replacing the existing exe with this exe.
Off course, you have to...
Spoon, it does take stuff from stdin.
oggenc2 - -o test.ogg <test.wav
gives an ogg.
But the wave I used is a signed 16 bit stereo.
I have same problems with enc_aacplus.exe (see winamp encoder...
And this one works !
And it's beautiful. Now you can select --lc for higher bitrates too.
Commandline bliss...
But making a plugin is driving me crazy.
Every dll I use seems to produce a...
I've been using the options file of the SSE2 plugin for every lancer build till now.
Somehow I always get an error on stdin with this new oggenc2.exe
Debug didn't help much.
Have they changed...
I have 3 wave files for basic testing :
http://home.versateladsl.be/dirkvl143/test1.wav
http://home.versateladsl.be/dirkvl143/test2.wav
http://home.versateladsl.be/dirkvl143/test3.wav
All are...
The compilemaster himself has joined us.
I'm honoured but still stuck with my encoding test.
I've used a regular small wave file to encode in this fashion :
enc_aacplus - test1.aac --cbr 48000...
Dimzon recently published an enc_aacplus.exe in the Behappy workspace :
http://www.gotdotnet.com/workspaces/workspace.aspx?id=1bb59ddf-901b-43a5-bd54-b0999e8e223e
but the conversion gets stuck when...
Ah, yes. I'd forgotten that. Thanks.
Damn. You actually got a mail back from him ?
Can he rewrite the code ? With hypnosis maybe ? ;)
gameplaya,
I tested the options file but the --mp4box parameter gives no result.
I agree that extra parameters would be nice for the interface.
However, allowing combinations to be made that...
Aha : I've found the problem (in the options file).
I was using [WriteWaveRIFF] instead of [RawWave].
It also required an additional parameter in the commandline.
Anyway, conversion looks very...
Any idea what causes it ?
Codec ?
DLLs ?
I found something strange : when I use the stdin encoder through regular commandline, it gives correct results, but when I use the plugin it adds a small piece of audio (about 0.07 secs) in the...
Yes !!!
I've recently received the last version of the conversion exe from "witt" at HA.
(Thanks a lot)
I've posted a new extractable dbpoweramp plugin at
