  1. Re: Is it possible to get pops etc even when you get Accurate on a track?

Accurate means that you have a bitperfect copy of the track or album. If pops are in the original tracks, you will have bitperfect pops in the sound files, but dBpa will not add pops etc.

Re: ripping into multiple formats / directories

Usually you set a base path for each decoder. The rest of the path is created dynamically based on your naming string. So this flexible and straight forward.

  8. Re: Would you do anything different to rip SACD?

While you can read the CD layer of a SACD only with usual CD drives, there is no need to change anything.

Re: Looking for the best cd-drive for my needs

The offset is just a technical, drive specific parameter which has no impact on the audio quality at all. Ripping means reading the digital data (like from a HDD or whatever). dBpa calculates a...

    Hey Gary,

it's more likely that one person has a read error, but the checksum matches the AR checksum, but even this tends to zero.

  12. Re: Sometimes the CD turns out all accurate despite some spots/smudges

    Hey Maxpower,

indeed it is not a guarantee. Accuraterip calculates a checksum for the audio data. This checksum is reported to a database and compared with the checksums of other users for...

D'accord! I second this absolutely. And I can't imagine that from a musician's point of view it makes any difference - if a musician has participated the projekt, he is a full part of the project.
