P.S. It's nothing to do with the Asset installation, it's to do with mounting the NAS directories and associating them with equivalent directories on the Raspberry Pi
While I have had a few successful installs on previous versions of the Raspberry Pi and its OS of the time, the latest OS is causing me some problems.
I have followed previous and more recent setup...
Thanks........although does this setting in AccurateRip transfer across to AlbumArt?
Anyway, I think I have worked out what is going on - Multiple disc albums are merged even if the folder and tag...
OK - so I've found the settings (spanner) associated with each of the four components (Album Art, ID Tags, De-Dup and AccurateRip) that make up PerfectTUNES.
I've had a look at the settings for all...
Thanks to you both for quick replies - makes for a great forum!
Regarding your suggestion Spoon, the 10 folders were scanned separately.
Regarding your first comment mville, for multi-cd albums...
I have a library of 4605 CD albums which have been successfully ripped and tagged by dBpoweramp over the years.
The number 4605 is what Asset tells me.
I am planning to use PerfectTunes / AlbumArt...
Many thanks Peter - all working now - scanning away.
I couldn't get the shutdown option to work but killall did the trick.
Peter - can you get me out of this hole please.
It seems the extraction / unzipping creates an additional instance of Asset rather than replacing the previous version.
Many thanks in advance.
Thanks for the quick work.
I'm having a bit of trouble installing the new version. When I try to start AssetUPnP in the new directory it claims the old version is still running, which it is.
I had...
Thank you very much Peter for looking into it.
Although there is a setting in the Raspberry Pi to wait until the network is up and running, it maybe that additional time is required for shares to...
Have sent through the debug log.
Is there anything that is immediately obvious?
Thanks
Thanks Peter.
In answer to your initial question, no, all the other settings (which I take to be those on the configuration page) survive a reboot.
Regarding your suggestions, I'm afraid these go...
...........except on reboot the library is cleared to zero. This was really the bit I had been hoping to avoid.
Perfect - thank you!
I understand there is a setting to enable this but I can't find it anywhere through the Raspbi interface.
Am I missing something or being thick?........you can be quite candid!
Thanks.
Good suggestion - I'll try that Philip.
Silence means it will have worked...........otherwise I'll be back..........and hopefully not worse than before!
Great - many thanks - worked a treat. Your instructions are clear and perhaps obvious after the event.
As a gentle suggestion it might be worth adding a few extra words on this on your website as...
Having got Asset running again on my Raspberry Pi which unfortunately crashed big-time, I am somewhat perplexed by the browse tree. This is largely because I have moved from whatever the previous...
The treasure trove that is the world-wide web has at last got me sorted.
Just in case anyone else suffers the complete meltdown of their networked music system like I did, I should at least put on...
I was too hasty!
In fact it only mounted one of my libraries and when I rebooted to see whether it might mount both libraries nothing mounted.
Looks as though I'll have to go back to manual...
I just went ahead and activated the SMB version 3 on my NAS.
I then implemented your suggested syntax referring to vers=3.0 in fstab, rebooted and hey presto! It's up and running again.
Thank you...
Many thanks for that suggestion.
Before I implement it can I just ask whether I should also be activating SMB version 3 on my Synology NAS. As it stands the NAS uses the range SMB1 to SMB2 and...
I used to have a working system based on an earlier version of Asset but since upgrading my Raspberry Pi and moving to Asset 6.1 I haven't managed back to a working system.
It is all based on the...
All OK now.
I installed version R5.1 on top of version R4.6.4 beta 3 and the rescan completed successfully.
I used 'top' as you suggested previously and Asset memory usage never went above 2.3%....
