  1. Re: What would be the best way to go about ripping both AIFF an ALAC?

You can rip to multiple formats saved to different folders. Just configure each encoder of multi encoder.

Re: Ripper is not recognizing most cdrs

    Hey Michael,

my guess is that the CDRs are too old (CDRs do olden!) or / and that the drive has problems with the reflective behavior of the surface. Can you read the CDRs with the file explorer...

Re: Ripper is not recognizing most cdrs

    Hey Michael,

what do you mean by "not reading"? That dBpa does not show the number and playtime of tracks, that it does not find metadata or that dBpa can't rip the content?

    Re: 44khz to 48khz

Upsampling an digital audio file to a higher sample rate or bit depth does not improve audio quality.

    I know, Gary. :-)

In my mother tongue the behaviour is called "sensibel", so the way to "sensible" was too short to anticipate the trap.

Re: CD driver not on completely flat surface

If you think of CD audio systems in cars (slanted, bumpy enviroment) or sometimes even vertical integration of drives in computers, you can imagine, that drives are not as sensible as one would...

    Re: Flac uncompressed question

The sneaking suspicion is as old as hi res files. I've read about programs that claim to be able to tell between simply upsampled CDs and true hi res files.

    Hey Partha,

in communications engineering and computer science there are the terms information and signal, which we have to differentiate. An Audio CD (Redbook) can contain no more audio...

Re: Dbpoweramp vs Ez cd audio

dBpoweramp uses all cores and gains a speed up by a parallelization over the files to convert.

Re: Dbpoweramp vs Ez cd audio

An Audio CD contains the music in PCM codec with 16 bit per channel and 44100 samples per second. dBpoweramp reads the digital data, builds a checksum and compares the checksum with checksums stored...
  15. Re: Question regarding a new System with ECC and Xeon for even more accurate ripping?

Forget about ECC and save the money. Most problems are caused by the storage, not the RAM. Additionaly you can repeat the check of the CRC to see,if something happend to your music file and if it...

  18. Re: Ripping Mission Accomplished (mostly) - Thanks to Spoon and Illustrate

I've started with a cassette recorder in the mid / end 70's. After a very short episode with vinyl I jumped on the bandwagon called Audio CD in 1985, when good CD Players have been rare and more...

    Re: Copy the album art

I don't think that you can use the tags within the batch file. In my opinion you need to hand over the path of the directory to the batch file by parameters.
