Character replacement I now understand is not the right way to go.
Using the "Multiple Artists" option also does not work.
Please explain what I am doing incorrectly, having followed all of your...
Nope, this does not work.
Writers divided by semicolons are still lost in the writing of the metadata.
Please tell me I'm doing something wrong.
DSP SETTING
METADATA RESULTS
2398
2399
I'll try this. Thanks.
This option has now stuck. But it doesn't do what I would have hoped.
The metadata grabbed by CDRipper as Lennon; McCartney, still shows as only McCartney in the metadata of the file, even though...
This feature seems to crash CDRipper.
Go to add DSP, add Manipulation, Word replacement, Set, add New, left hand column put ;, right hand column put, OK, CDRipper quits.
Mediocre? Really?
There's no need to slag off Mac or iTunes, or this paying customer, at any point.
You're trolling your own forum...embarrassing.
Using the DSP workaround, is there an option to...
I'm aware of Asset and it's old fashioned, limited ways, and sorry, it's not a great example anyway.
You know searching for Drake would give you the same answer whether he exists in separate boxes...
You seem to have this backwards.
Why would I want composer in a separate box? I don't want them in separate boxes, because the writers for any given track exist together, not separately.
And this...
Yes, I gathered that. And always appreciate all replies.
Though it seems to be either you or Spoon, so he (or she) can catch up later....
I'm not a fan of this divide and conquer support.

This is helpful.
Why can't the CDRipper preferences be set so if it finds a semicolon, ever, anywhere, it switches it to a comma?
Thanks, I am somewhat clearer but it throws up other oddities.
I'm not adding the semicolon ; it is coming via metadata searches.
So It seems CDRipper can't handle the semicolon as it meant to be...
Additionally, I just re-ran another test featuring the ; and any info before it is ignored when CDRipper writes the metadata.
i.e., Bill Conti; The Notorious B.I.G.; Sean "Puffy" Combs; S. Jordan;...
Could you take another run at your reply? It makes little sense to me.
I'll take a run at it...
When writing ; (when what is writing ;?)
Then 2 tags are written internally (what 2 tags and who...
Just re-ripped but changed the ; to a , and everything transfered from the CD Ripper page to the Metadata correctly.
Could be something to do with the ; replacement not working (or self setup) as it...
Ripping Johnny Cash.
Meta search finds 2 writers, artists, but when ripped only 2nd writer, artist is in the metadata.
I have a replacement set so that ; (a blight on the discogs search) becomes...
That's grim news for users of MusicBrainz, as it seems to be the most popular and yet the most sloppy info I've seen.
As per usual, anything beyond Artist/Title is not to be taken at first sight....
By "some don't" I assume you mean albums/cd a little more obscure than an one that has been certified 15x Platinum?
Point is, if Pink Floyd aren't coming up with writers I don't hold out much hope...
Why wouldn't none of the options have composer deets for an album as well known as Dark Side Of The Moon?
I wonder if I am set up correctly. Seems silly when CDDB via iTunes finds that kinda thing...
Is it possible, after using ones preferred metadata settings, to run the search again, on other metadata engines (the ones included) to find specific metadata not found?
In my example, I like using...

I get this using your link...
dBpoweramp Reference R15.6 (Family Pack)
I guess I'm in the Apple slow lane... ;)
...and soon minus a headphone jack!
I bought "dBpoweramp Reference R15, Family Pack" on the 2nd August.
Do I pay to go to r16?
Thx, I'll look that over
This is a (semi) classical album, perhaps there we have something. It's by Ennio Morricone, iTunes (gracenote?) got it 95%, Musicbrainz (80%) Yate (85%) XLD 85%, CD...
Oh, I am not questioning the response rates, or the quality I and all the other forum users get, no way. what's dull is that searching for the answer to questions is rarely getting answers to my...
