  1. Re: Conversion issues after using PerfectTunes ID Tags

Forgive the obvious question, but what tool did you use for editing the tags? It seems possible that this step could have introduced the error.
I use MP3Tag for this purpose (with FLAC files from...
  2. Re: Wanting To Rip My Own Copy Protected DVD's - libdvdcss

Ripping and conversion are generally regarded as separate processes. There are overpriced packages out there that take an all-in one approach. Personally, I prefer to manage the processes...

    Re: Proposed changes to Licensing

For major updates, I think that a time limited update model works. For minor updates, possibly not for all users. I think it depends on the likely frequency of use of the software and on the user's...

    Re: Multi-core setting usage

This is a great example of why I love your software - you understand and care about the details that almost no-one else even knows about. Thanks for the recent updates and a Happy New Year to all.
  5. Re: Variations in mastering? CD ripping a flawed process?

The framing is a standard function of the "Red Book" audio CD format. Audio tracks occupy an integral number of frames, their start and end being defined in the Table of Contents (often just TOC) at...

Re: Video Converter pricing and feature questions

Hi - I am also asking the same question on the bundle pricing. I have registered and updated dBpoweramp since R12 in 2008 (now on R16) and also have registered Perfectunes. Due to the time...

    Re: AccurateRip: Uncorrupting Corrupt Files?

No - As I found out today - press the "i" button (not marked as a button) on the results screen to see a log of the albums and tracks which were found to have errors. You can save this as a text...

Re: Log file for Perfect Tunes scans

It does - but since I only found it after coming here, I wonder if the "i" is a little too minimalist. A "Log" button might save people from writing down lists of failed matches (been there, done...

    Debian Linux Asset

    Hi Spoon,

Many thanks for the release. On the basis my testing of the beta releases I have now purchased. However, there appears to be a problem in that a number of codecs that were present in...

    Hi Spoon,

Thanks for the 19th Feb update. Still working well. I have set the rescan interval to daily since I could not set it to zero. (Would have like to be able to only scan on demand, but...

    Re: Asset UPnP for Linux

My omission, sorry. I am running under unRAID 5.0.5 which is based on Slackware 13.1 (old, but very solid).

For info, the new unRAID 6 beta is based on 14.1 I believe and is 64 bit only, but I...

Thanks for the update. Sadly I have run into this problem again that we saw further back in this thread....

    Hello Spoon,

Many thanks from me also for the work done on AssetUPnP for Linux. I have it running quite well on my unRAID server (unRAID v5.0.4 - Slackware 13.1 based).

Re: Problems converting FLAC to AIFF

Just a thought - the Windows version of FLAC from http://xiph.org/flac/ always comes with a utility called Flactester.exe which allows the testing of a bunch of files in any folder tree to be tested...

Re: flac uncompressed > flac 5

    Jared,

The compression setting in FLAC does not affect the accuracy of the resulting file. It is still a lossless file that you can later decompress and or convert to any other loless or lossy...

  22. Re: Sony BDP-S570 DLNA misses start of music track

I have tried various UPnP servers with the BDP-S570. It's just not a very good audio streaming client. In addition to slow un-muting of audio, it fails to play tracks gaplessly.

  25. Re: Keep Origianl flac. files and create new wav. files

dBpoweramp will do this fine, but as Spoon suggests, unless you really need to go to WAV for some other reason you'd be better to go direct from FLAC to Apple Lossless. You won't loose audio quality...
