    Re: Incorrect album data

    Hey John,

I would check the metadata of the involved files first. Maybe these are not consistent and editing them would fix the problem.

  2. Re: doesn't work with 17.3 (Mac)

Ok, let's go into the details:

1.) "artist name" is the name of a tag.
2.) "Peter Gabriel" can be i.e. a value for the tag "artist name"
3.) "<various artists>" is not a value you can assign to...
  3. Re: Artist Sort tag not being written to FLAC file

You can see, edit and add artist sort in the tag section (register "TAG") at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Re: Artist Sort tag not being written to FLAC file

If you select only one or a few trakcs of the CD, you can assign artists and artist sorts to those tracks only.

  5. Re: Artist Sort tag not being written to FLAC file

To my understanding the tag would appear on the starting screen of CD Ripper, if you have chosen the provider with that tag information. Otherwise you can add it by hand on the starting screen.

  6. Re: Artist Sort tag not being written to FLAC file

It writes the tag if the tag has a value, either provided by the metadata databases or typed in by you.

Did the metadata for the CD have the tag artist sort filled?

  8. Re: Do I have to pay to update to latest version?!

    Hey Tim,

I don't get your point. Nowadays we see two market concepts: you pay once for a licence which allows you to use a concrete version of the version for life time, or the second model,...
  9. Re: Do I have to pay to update to latest version?!

Updates within a major version (i.e. R17.1 -> R17.2) are for free, but you have to pay for upgrades to newer major versions (i.e. R16 -> R17) unless you did not buy your version within a short grace...

Re: Track listing in original order

    Hey Wesley,

ok, now that we know, that this will do for your car audio system, you can edit your naming string in CD Ripper and your profiles for Batch Converter. Add the tag "[track]" in front of...

Re: Track listing in original order

    Hey Wesley,

car sound systems are often very dumb, ignore all the metadata within the audio files (like track numbers) and sort the files alphabetically by the filename. One solution can be to add...

  14. Re: Want to make playlist on laptop for listening and burning

There are plenty of audio players like Foobar etc. pp. Try to avoid iTunes or Windows Media Player. Especially the latter one can easily ruin your metadata and ID tags. I myself use Kodi and...
  15. Re: Want to make playlist on laptop for listening and burning

The output of the headphone jack is a analogue signal, produced in an audio critical enviroment like the laptop. This signal is not ment to be an input signal of an audio system, even so it would...

  17. Re: Is it possible to get pops etc even when you get Accurate on a track?

Accurate means that you have a bitperfect copy of the track or album. If pops are in the original tracks, you will have bitperfect pops in the sound files, but dBpa will not add pops etc.

    Re: PerfectTUNES with iTunes

This is an iTunes problem. ITunes stores the album art in a own database, which is not updated, if you have updated the album art of the audio file. Delete the album within iTunes, but not on the HDD...

Re: ripping into multiple formats / directories

Usually you set a base path for each decoder. The rest of the path is created dynamically based on your naming string. So this flexible and straight forward.
