    Re: Inaccurate but secure rips...

What exactly do you mean by that? Also, is the track 14 rip from EAC considered accurate then, and the dBpoweramp not?

    Re: Inaccurate but secure rips...

Yes, and it was approx. 20MB smaller (same compression level) than the inaccurate but secure result from dBpoweramp.

    Re: Inaccurate but secure rips...

I also have the same question and thought of just replying to this thread instead of creating a brand new one. I have a single track (track 14) on this enhanced CD which I can't get it accurate but...
  6. Inaccurate & Insecure Results from a Brand New CD

Can someone please explain how this could occur with a brand new CD? Could it simply be the drive that I'm using or is it dBpoweramp itself that's causing this issue?

    FLAC Compression Level 8 Question

Is the only downside to using FLAC Compression Level 8 the encoding time? No loss of quality either? I know it's lossless nonetheless but just want to be sure.
  9. Converting Compressed FLAC to Uncompressed FLAC

Will converting compressed FLAC to uncompressed FLAC degrade the quality of the audio file?

    Re: Regarding the CDRipperCache.bin file

Okay hopefully it does. Because I don't use any of the Metadata providers, I prefer to title my albums and tracks myself and also scan my own album covers to keep it all uniform. It would totally...

    Regarding the CDRipperCache.bin file

Will the CDRipperCache.bin file be compatible with future versions of dBpoweramp?

    Re: Regarding ReplayGain

Yeah, I was just thinking about that so I went ahead an installed utility codec for RG and re-did the entire albums that had to rip other tracks from my laptop, thanks!

    Re: Regarding ReplayGain

Okay thanks. But what I had already done, by changing the values manually to match the rest of the tracks that I ripped from my computer be okay?

How do you re-analyze the album? Do you mean by clicking on the refresh button? All I did was replace the values of the tracks that I ripped from my laptop to match the rest of the album that I...

    Regarding ReplayGain

Why are the values for replaygain_album_gain different if I rip the exact same album from my laptop instead of my computer? I only do this for certain tracks that refuse to be ripped accurately on my...

    Applying HDCD DSP

I've already ripped my entire music CD collection in uncompressed flac without the HDCD DSP effect, only ReplayGain Track & Album. But would also like to have a second copy of each with the HDCD DSP...

    Re: HDCD not detected

At least it's good to know that the HDCD DSP should only be used if playing the ripped albums on a system or hardware that won't recognize a 16-bit audio file which has HDCD encoded in it.

Re: Regarding C2 Error Pointer Support

Okay gotcha! I guess I'll have to be content with the 2 albums that I have that are not in AccurateRip but were "Securely" ripped.

    Regarding C2 Error Pointer Support

Does setting this up for the CD Ripper really matter if tracks are already securely ripped (the one's that are not in AccurateRip database anyways)?

Re: Higher Resolution Album Art Support

How would you do that? I name my tracks in this way [Track] - [Title]. If I don't change the track number from the next CD forward they'll all be organized like the following:

    01 - Track 1
    01 -...
