Anyone? Anything?
Many thanks for the reply.
I'm now playing around with that line; sometimes a change works, sometimes it doesn't, and I have very little idea why. Is there some further documentation somewhere...
Ok, after searching the forum I found this:
https://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?18968-Adding-Custom-ID-Tags-to-Asset&p=187368&viewfull=1*post187368
from which I guess I should be...
The other question in my original post was about whether the Mac version of Asset is less configurable than others. For example, the documentation for the windows version has this in the "Browse...
Aha! In my defence, there's no clue in the interface that the list can be scrolled, just as the 'Add new' button has no visual indication that it's a drop-down menu.
Anyway, hours of configuration...
I've just upgraded from 6.4(?) to 7.1, and am trying to understand options for editing of the browse tree. (I must admit it's a long time since I looked at any of this in Asset.)
Are the browse...
Thanks. Do you mean that another kind of playlist would allow other behaviours? I used .m3u because I thought it was the standard.
Just to clarify my second question: by 're-order' I meant change...
Just found this thread by searching on "shuffle playlist". I have foobar2000 on an iOS device, and a Roberts internet radio, and neither can do this , so it would be really nice if Asset could...
Aha - thanks for that! Actually I'd just figured out that workaround, although oddly it seems to work for the Roberts 83i, but not for Foobar2000.
Apologies for dragging out what may seem a trivial issue, but these generously-padded prefixes are a bit of a showstopper for my use of Asset (which in all other respects so far I like very much!),...
Ignore that bit - I was forgetting that the Roberts can only communicate with Plex over UPnP anyway...
Nothing I can see in Foobar's settings, and the Roberts is just a hardware device with practically no config options.
I mentioned earlier that the numeric prefixes aren't displayed by Plex; I...
Ah, ok. The manual says "With this option checked each album would follow in the correct order in one album folder", and I took that to mean that unchecking it would display, say, a 3-disc album as...
Ok, the site seems to have something against Firefox, but not Safari...
Here's the Roberts:
1111
and Foobar2000:
1112
In the Foobar2000 screenshot, the first number is disc.track, the...
Only if I can figure out why I'm getting "Error *2038" when I try to upload an image... (It's under 100kb)
So do I assume there's no way to prevent the track numbers from displaying?
With Foobar2000, only when browsing; with the Roberts, both. (With a multi-disc album, the prefix plus padding takes up nearly half the display width on the Roberts.)
Another oddity on Foobar2000...
I mean the way they're displayed by the clients (Foobar2000 and a Roberts Stream 83i). The actual music files do have numeric prefixes - they're generated by iTunes, but the prefix wasn't displayed...
Hi,
Running on OSX 10.10.5 here.
I'm trying to turn off the automatic numbering of tracks by Asset. I've unchecked the "[track *] - [title]" option, which seems to have made no difference. Is...
Many thanks for the fast and clear reply - and for not pointing out that if I'd read the whole manual I'd have seen this :)
Actually it only worked after I restarted the server, which doesn't seem...
Hi,
I'm trying out Asset UPnP, having got frustrated with all the other media servers that seem to treat audio as an afterthought :)
Server is on a Mac mini, running OSX 10.10.5.
My library is...
