Hey, bringing up relatively old thread.
In general, I've always lived needing to 'pick the next song,' to queue up whatever seemed appropriate five seconds before the previous one ended. Very...
I would like to see [played] added as a filename element, to represent the number of times the file was played in MMC, maybe [played xx] and [played xxx] too.
Possibly [filename] in addition to...
Oh, I was under the impression that selection of 'Smart v1/v2' (or Ape) was supposed to automatically write a v2 tag if the data could not fit into an existing v1 tag. Add to wishlist, then!
I've come across quite a few files that in recent versions of dMC that refuse to have a track title longer than 30 characters, no matter what the dMC ID Tag settings are. Sending a sample over..
Total keyboard control of MMC would be awesome, specifically keystrokes to manipulate the currently selected song.
Currently, playing a song in MMC usually goes as follows: after opening MMC, I...
Using USB 2; don't have a firewire port.
When I transfer my collection of files to an iPod, I get an error message sometime randomly throughout the transfer. Sveta gets stuck on transferring a random file; at this point Windows bugs out,...
As a general idea, I'm personally against having special sorting rules (such as ignoring "the" and "a" at the beginning of artist names) just for sheer elegancy, but just one minor tidbit I was...
For the four that you have, the spotlights are:
Lame makes great quality mp3s
Blade makes gapless mp3s
Gogo makes mp3s really fast (although its a bit unstable)
Personally I'm not too familiar...
Technically it all depends on how sensitive your hearing is. Personally I can't tell the difference between mp3 at 128 and a CD unless I'm playing it really loud and listening close, while at the...
Glad to help!
Suggestion to Spoon: put 'gapless mp3 conversion' next to Blade in Codec Central?
Unfortunately, you cannot convert the file with dMC.
See http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=3783 for a similar case.
Myself being interested in this topic I popped it up in Google and got this: http://www.mp3-converter.com/encoders/bladeenc.htm, "Only mp3 encoder that supports gapless encoding." Download and try...
Unfortunately the mp3 codec is written so that there is an added space (check out similar thread http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=3764). I'm no professional but I'm guessing that there...
You don't need the Power Pack to use Blade. Just download the Blade codec (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-mp3-blade.htm), install it, and you'll be good to go.
Either way, there is a...
Are you using Sveta for copying audio onto your player? If your m3u playlists point to wma files, then I think you can right click the m3u --> convert to (portable device). I'm not too familiar...
It (very roughly) translates into "All your base are belong to us," which is a famous online phrase/joke here in America. The reason you do not understand it is because it doesn't make sense in...
Zack,
Unfortunately the music you download from Best Buy is copy-protected AKA encrypted or protected. They encrypt the files to make it harder to obtain them illegally, although this also means...
If you can get dAP or any other audio player to play the file, you could use Auxillary Input to convert it to an mp3.
The process is similar to this, except it is an mpc file instead of a midi:...
Did you recently install dMC 10?
I think you may be running into this problem: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?p=14594*post14594.
But this is for OGG & MPC, not MP3, correct?
Okay looking back I wrote way too much that its confusing, need editing.
Spiffied it up a bit :D
My brother is way into wikipedia although the craze hasn't caught on to me yet, it will soon enough.
Definitely check it for accuracy, though, left out a lot of parts.
It's difficult if not impossible.
MIDI files have a definite range of instruments which is a limitation on the relative quality of converted files.
Check out...
I've heard about this trick, although I don't understand the point of it. Can't you just disable AutoRun?
Are you sure? Looking at the two files myself I see one has the word 'codec' in the filename and the other has 'encoder'. Check to see if you haven't accidentily downloaded the same one twice.
