Sticky: Re: Asset UPnP R7.1 Mac & Linux

    Also good on RPi

However, I don't like the new A-Z handling in the Naim App Release 5.18
Here all content served by the UPnP Server is either sorted using the server's default (i.e. how it was...

Re: Asset R7 for Mac & Linux

    Hi,
Could you check the operation of how Asset R7 handles multi-disc albums - I have a number which are being presented numerous times for each disc (Disc 1, Disc 2, etc.)
    I have the option for...

Re: Asset R7 for Mac & Linux

Thank you. This is better but perhaps some spacing between these function buttons, and different text size & bolded font, centred positioning for the "Library Contains 84966 Tracks, 6624 Albums"...

Re: Asset R7 for Mac & Linux

    Hi,
Could I give some feedback on the layout of the Main Status page.

The buttons to Restart Asset, Scan for New and Scan everything are too close together, being stacked on top of each other.

  6. Re: Can Asset UPnP be run alongside other media servers?

    Hi,
I have Asset running on a RPi2 scanning & indexing the libray on my NAS, alongside a Roon Core (running ROCK on an Intel NUC) which scans & indexes the same directories on the NAS.
    However, the...

Re: Asset R7 for Mac & Linux

ok, so I needed to reboot. I can now see a revised Status on the Web Configuration page, with the folder information reporting correctly on the scan status.

    So all good.

    Is the layout of this...

Re: Asset R7 for Mac & Linux

ok, so the Status page isn't reporting Scanning status then - it is just telling me "Library Contains 84822 Tracks, 6398 Albums", instead of "Scanning xxx of zzzz" as it did.

This is R7 Beta 2 btw

Re: Asset R7 for Mac & Linux

    Ok, Beta 2 applied.
The Web config page still reports "Library Contains 84822 Tracks, 6398 Albums" - even though Asset is still indexing and building the library following an earlier "Rescan All"....

Re: Asset R7 for Mac & Linux

No problem - that's what Beta testing is for.

So given that my ArtStorev5.bin in the v4 folder was nearly 6GB, and this will be replicated in the v7 folder, can I remove it from the v4 folder?...

Re: Asset R7 for Mac & Linux

    Hi,
I have installed the R7 Beta 1 release over an existing R6.7 installation.
I copied the AssetUPnP, asset style sheet and Versions directory over into /usr/bin/asset/bin and restarted Asset.

Re: Issues with R6 scanning on QNAP.

Was experiencing issues with R6.5 on RPi2, in that scan was looping.
Solved with R6.6 Beta 1, which has completed a scan and stabilised.
Does there need to a replacement for the Production release...

Re: Asset Upnp and Hires Audio Library

How the contents of the Music Library is displayed is a function of the App controlling it, and not the backend Music Server, such as Asset. It&*8217;s job is the scan, index and then when requested...

Re: Asset UPnP for Linux, R6.4 beta

Logs sent, however I am now getting a forced rescan following reboot of the RPi & restarting Asset.

If we could see that the logs are reporting the correct behaviour, now.

    Thanks,

Re: Asset UPnP for Linux, R6.4 beta

No, the Auto-detect does not work for me from a RPi to a ReadyNAS unit - but it never has.
So, the Manual push to rescan and detect changes does not work, and has not since R6.3 Beta 2 or 3
    As...

Re: Help setting up AssetUPnP on Raspberrypi

    Type crontab -e
    Enter
    @reboot sudo mount -a

    Then reboot

I found that later versions of rasbian stopped automounting what was listed in the fstab file.

I then rebuild my RPi to DietPi, as...
