Sticky: Re: CD Drive Accuracy 2019

Misstated. The ** W ** is the one I started with, then went to the F. W is good for accuracy, F not so much. Neither seems to be very reliable though. At least the ones I have had. :)

Sticky: Re: CD Drive Accuracy 2019

One more, sorry. ;) I started with this one, and I still have two of them, but I decided to try the iHAS124 drives because they're faster. I do like the Plextors though, but they're not as...

Sticky: Re: CD Drive Accuracy 2019

One more comment, I had glommed on to the iHAS124 F as a drive to get. It's an internal drive that I use with an external "enclosure" that takes care of all the connections. The accuracy, speed,...

Sticky: Re: CD Drive Accuracy 2019

There are some comments here about internal drives vs external. I don't know about all of them, but I've just started using this one, and other than the fact that it doesn't have the required 4000...

Re: CD/DVD Drive Accuracy List 2016: PX-230A computation

Well, my Lite-On lasted less than 2.5 years. It's damaged 3 out of the last 10 or so CDs/DVDs I've ripped on it. Dug concentric circles into them for some reason. Not every disc, that's why it took...

Re: CD/DVD Drive Accuracy List 2016: PX-230A computation

I wanted to post. It's Christmas Eve, and for myself for Christmas :), I picked up a Lite-On iHAS124-03 W revision WU, and an Vantec enclosure. Got everything together and connected to my Win XP...

Re: Convert from m4v to mp3, wav, etc?

    Spoon !! It worked !! :komisch7:

Re: Convert from m4v to mp3, wav, etc?

Ahhh: it doesn't recognize m4v, but I'll try to rename to mp4 and see if that works. Thanks !!

Convert from m4v to mp3, wav, etc?

Can dBpoweramp do this? Strip the video and convert to an audio format?

    Thanks.
  10. Re: Previously ripped single wav file: any way to check against AccurateRip database

    That's what I thought.

But theoretically couldn't it be done? You need the CRC, and then artist, album title, and song title, and you compare that CRC vs all the similar entries in the...
  11. Previously ripped single wav file: any way to check against AccurateRip database now?

I have seen a few threads on this, but most seem to talk about a single album image or individual wav or FLAC files for an entire album.

If I have one wav file in a subdirectory, is there any way...
