  1. Re: No individual folders for multi-disc albums

Edit the naming string and put the disc number in front of the track names (i.e. like "1-01 xyz") or put the disc number at the end of the album name (i.e. "MyAlbum, Disc 1"). I prefer the first...
  2. Re: Start CD Ripper (cdgrap.exe) from command line with parameters?

You can just start three instances (with GUI).

Re: Best Settings to Match iTunes Music

    Hey Spoon,

that sounds interesting. What do you mean by higher? Higher than the bitrate that is specified? I.e. can a 192kbps VBR file have rates higher than 192kbps? I thought that the...
  7. Re: How do I grab first character from the album artist sort tag in dynamic naming?

Are we talking about burning or ripping?

  8. Re: How do I grab first character from the album artist sort tag in dynamic naming?

You have to full in "album artist sort" in metadata in case you use that naming string.

Otherwise use "album artist" in the naming string.

  9. Re: Question: Can I add disc numbers, after the discs have been encoded?

You have the disc numbers in the metadata? If so, you can use the DSP "Arragne Audio" or Mp3tag.

Re: Tagging a multi CD box set

I organize my music this way

Album Artist(s) - the artists printed on the small side of the cover, delimited by " - " if there is more than one album artist
Album - name of the album

    Within...

    Re: Apply Track Offset

Therefore I suggest to use the disc number (two digits) and track number (two digits) in combination. If you use the offset method you will have even more problems with players that have a problem...

    Re: Help with ISRC codes

Did you check the opitions ("CD Ripper Options" -> "Tags & Filenames" -> "Meta Data & ID Tag" -> "Options"), that ISRC will be included in the meta data?

    Re: Apply Track Offset

Just my 2 cents: I don't think that the offset method is the best practice. I prefer the method of using the disc number and track number in the naming as well as in the meta data. This way you can...

    Re: Asus BW-16D1HT slow

It is the drive, which decides on the speed itself. In dependency of the CD's surface (reflection, dirt, scratches, errors etc. pp.) the drive limits the speed.

Re: Restrict tags to Artist, Title, and Genre

You can try to delete the album tag by using the DSP "ID Tag Processing", which allows to map, delete, manipulate and add tags.

But aside of that, I don't understand your motivation to spend the...

Did you set the naming string within the settings of each encoder or did you set the naming string in the main window?

  19. Re: RIP CD in WAV format using up sample rate option

Upsampling and increasing the bit depth does not improve the sound quality. Audio CD's sample rate is 44.1 kHz and 16 bit/ch bit depth.

Re: 16bit to 24bit not make sense?

No, upsampling or increasing the bit depth does not improve the sound quality. It just increases the file size, but not the information in the file.

    Re: CD Ripper Options Question

No, there is no difference in the sound quality as long as you have accurate rips. The process of ripping music is nothing more and nothing less than a digital read-out of data. The difference...
  23. Re: On one of my CD, one track keeps getting error

You can try to clean the CD and/or rip with a different drive. If you have no luck, accept the defective tracks or buy another copy of that CD.
