  1. Re: iTunesEncode HowTo: Using iTunes with dMC to make AAC, ALAC, AIFF, MP3 files

First of all, I don't know where you are, but unless you are local to Sydney, I can hardly take you up on your offer, though I am considering restoring my brother's vinyl collection. Your post is...
  2. Re: iTunesEncode HowTo: Using iTunes with dMC to make AAC, ALAC, AIFF, MP3 files

I just uploaded a fixed version of the Zip with the Encoder scripts and iTunesEncode, there was a bug affecting all the scripts.
Annoyingly, on Vista, changing things in the Program Files directory...
  3. Secure rip but doesn't match AccurateRip: X AR (3) v Secure

What does it mean when a CD which is in AccurateRip is ripped Securely (2x read) but doesn't match AccurateRip with an index of 3 (ie 3 non-matches)? I only have average PC speakers, but the songs...

    Re: MP3 to M4A Conversion

Always handy to post your solution for other forum users. Unless they are long-distance mind readers of course.

Re: Album art from WMP to iTunes?

I don't know about the iTunes file structure, but I do know that it embeds the artwork in the metadata of the file. You can verify it thanks to Poweramp's extension to the Properties window.

    Re: Creating m4b's from mp3's

Also, while not a solution for the iPod, if you haven't already, you could simply create a playlist of Audiobooks. If they are tagged as such, it could be a Smart playlist. Not as neat as having it...

    Re: Creating m4b's from mp3's

All this time spent on other encoders to avoid the 2.5 hr conversion, I bet you've spent more time on this issue than iTunes would have taken converting it. No idea if it's an iTunes problem or an...

    Re: Advice on merging files?

Well, if the issue turned out to be the Nero M4a/b Encoder, and I don't think he mentioned using it, he might also try the iTunesEncode howTo stickied at the top of this forum to have iTunes encode...

    Re: Advice on merging files?

I don't know the answer, but you might try playing the joined file in another player that supports M4a files to determine if the file or iTunes is at fault.
Note: M4a and M4b are identical except...
  10. iTunesEncode HowTo: Using iTunes with dMC to make AAC, ALAC, AIFF, MP3 files

I've just joined up and tried dBpoweramp r12.3, as I have so far been using Exact Audio copy (EAC) and have been looking around if it supports something akin to iTunesEncode which I've been using on...

    Re: Quicktime API support

I do have iTunesEncode as an exe. I have used it with EAC and iTunes just fine. I've made a customised CLI Encoder, which is pretty cool.
I will post a how-to shortly to share my findings with dMC.

    Quicktime API support

Basically, what iTunesEncode does, but inbuilt. I know this is an ambitious request, especially as the iTunesEncode developer lost his source code, but the API is well-documented on Apple's developer...

    Re: What About Macintosh Users!

You don't want to rant, yet you do. Lack of self-discipline, I guess. I won't bother quoting the rest, or respond to such drivel. Even that famous cynic, John C. Dvorak, now uses Macintosh and...
