  1. Re: Looking for advice on glacial, on/off reading pattern with secure ripping

Actually, it was a simple direct question that you didn't answer.

You may be correct here, but you do not know for certain whether this is the issue.

Optical drives may report that they...

Re: WAV tagging on new computer

Consider flac, instead of wav. Audio quality is the same and in terms of tagging and compatibility, wav is problematic.
  3. Re: Looking for advice on glacial, on/off reading pattern with secure ripping

It is a setting configured in CD Ripper:
CD Ripper Menu > CD Ripper Options > Ripping Method > Secure Settings

Re: What is the right way to start?

No, I am simply saying that Path and Naming refer to the output destination filepath/filename only and not your tags/metadata.

Re: Naming "composer" prior to title

I have never used the Apple version, but assuming it works the same as the Windows version, you can use the ID Tag Processing DSP and under Rule Based Manipulation, add the following:
    IF...
  8. Re: Multi Encoder won't allow 2 destination folders

It's a common mistake users make, when selecting Multi Encoder.

It would make sense for Spoon to hide the Path and Naming text boxes from the CD Ripper gui, when Multi Encoder is selected.
  9. Re: Multi Encoder won't allow 2 destination folders

Yes, that is correct. You select the option you want from the Dropdown box.

No, it does not make sense as there are no Existing Source Folder(s), as you are ripping a CD.

    For each encoder...

Re: Downloaded wrong Asset on wrong platform

Remove your order number from your original post and wait for Spoon to reply here.
  11. Re: Multi Encoder won't allow 2 destination folders

For each Encoder listed in the Encoder tab, click settings and edit the Output To dropdown box.

How is the C2 Error Pointers for Error Detection option configured?

Re: Naming "composer" prior to title

To confirm, do you want the above reflected in the Title tag OR the filename OR both?

Re: What is the right way to start?

FYI, in CD Ripper, Path and Naming are used to set the location of the ripped audio output folders and filenames on a drive or network share only, not the tags/metadata of your audio files.

  16. Re: Unsolved problem: dBpoweramp can not rip cd's with manufacturing errors

Yes, and that is down to the OP to decide whether in his/her opinion there is a problem with the audio.

What confused me was the OP referred to "errors" and I was trying to determine whether or...
  17. Re: Unsolved problem: dBpoweramp can not rip cd's with manufacturing errors

Thanks Spoon, that is how I understood things.

So, what Catflap is talking about has nothing to do with the digital audio data and bit errors on the CD at all, rather he/she is talking about the...
  18. Re: Unsolved problem: dBpoweramp can not rip cd's with manufacturing errors

As I understand it, a CD with manufacturing errors will be flagged by CD Ripper as having errors i.e. insecure and so will not get submitted to the AccurateRip database. Maybe I have got this wrong....

    Re: File naming help needed

  20. Re: Unsolved problem: dBpoweramp can not rip cd's with manufacturing errors

I also want ripping software that provides bit perfect rips. That is why I use dBpoweramp.

dBpoweramp with AccurateRip has provided you with a bit perfect rip (see the log you posted).

  21. Re: Unsolved problem: dBpoweramp can not rip cd's with manufacturing errors

CD Ripper is a redbook audio CD ripping application. The goal here is to use CD Ripper/AccurateRip to get bit perfect rips, which you are getting. There is no problem with CD Ripper OR AccurateRip.

  22. Re: Unsolved problem: dBpoweramp can not rip cd's with manufacturing errors

Perhaps your audio server has a playback problem. The log you posted earlier suggests no problem with the rip.

It is possible that your assumption that there is manufacturing error may be...

Re: CPU Encoding Stuck at 0% (Version 16.6)

If you own any HDCDs (and there aren't that many on the market), then you may be right about those CDs.

However, using the bit depth DSP will not give you "better sound". Redbook CD audio contains...
