  1. Re: Metadata displayed in W7 Explorer has changed; and I can't change Rating metadata

So I can enable Thumbnail and Property Handler with MP3 excluded and it won't affect the tag pane for MP3 files? I tried it: I excluded all audio types except flac. The tag pane changed (to the...
  2. Re: Metadata displayed in W7 Explorer has changed; and I can't change Rating metadata

That's very good to know. And that means that I don't need to exclude anything.

But please answer my remaining question: Why does enabling the Thumbnail and Property Handler change which tag items...
  3. Re: Metadata displayed in W7 Explorer has changed; and I can't change Rating metadata

Thanks Spoon. That did the trick. With 'Thumbnail and Property Handler' disabled, everything is back the way it used to be.

However I have some flac files, and it would be nice if I could use tags...
  4. Re: Metadata displayed in W7 Explorer has changed; and I can't change Rating metadata

Just to be sure I get this right, this is what I should do:
    - Download and install 14.2
    - Run dBpoweramp Configuration
    - Check (enable) the 'Thumbnail and Property Handler' option
    - Close...
  5. Re: Metadata displayed in W7 Explorer has changed; and I can't change Rating metadata

MP3. Oops - I thought I downloaded and was using 14.2. But according to dBpoweramp Configuration, I have "dBpoweramp Music Converter: Registered Reference 14.1".
  6. Re: Metadata displayed in W7 Explorer has changed; and I can't change Rating metadata

I did that, and now all the tag information has disappeared from the Windows Explorer bottom pane. The pane is completely empty except for the album graphic.

No. I go to the bottom pane and click...
  7. Metadata displayed in W7 Explorer has changed; and I can't change Rating metadata

Recently I upgraded from dBpoweramp 13.x (I can't remember the version) to R14.2. Since the upgrade I've noticed some strange behavior in two areas:

    1. The Windows 7 file explorer has a pane (at...
  8. Re: I need to be able to adjust drive offset manually

Thanks Teknojunky. I'm not famliar with cuetools, or with using foobar as anything other than a simple audio player. I can imagine, however, ripping the whole CD as one WAV file and then editing it...
  9. Re: I need to be able to adjust drive offset manually

Well maybe it's less than 1/10 second. I guesstimated by ear. As I noted, changing the offset from +696 to 0 helped a lot; in fact it removed most of the problem. If I had to guess, I need an offset...
  10. I need to be able to adjust drive offset manually

    ... at least, I think I do.

Here's the problem. My offset was set to +696 at the program's initial setup. Almost all the CDs I have ripped have been fine, but I have a CD (They Might Be Giants -...
  11. Paid for another year of AMG, but order number doesn't work

...or it's maybe possible that I miscopied the order number I was given.

Anyway, when I entered my order number in the ActivateAMG.exe dialog box, it said it was invalid. The order number I...
