  1. Re: Is there a bulk action for adding missing tags?

I use foobar for everything apart from ripping, but given there aren't any replies to this I assume there's not a way of doing it through perfectTunes (which does seem pretty basic).

    Seeing as...
  2. Re: "One File Flac" - Previously Verified AccurateRip - Now to Split them out

Glad it helped you. It's a great suite of tools and one that's been faultless for me in processing thousands of discs over the years, as well as correcting faulty rips on numerous occasions.
    As well...
  3. Re: "One File Flac" - Previously Verified AccurateRip - Now to Split them out

The first post didn't show (maybe because URL's have to be manually approved?) so I sent another this morning, and now it looks like I'm being impatient :-)

Try verifying the CUE first then...
  4. Re: "One File Flac" - Previously Verified AccurateRip - Now to Split them out

I'd have thought if the CUE verifies then it's what you're using to split the CUE that is at fault, but I maybe wrong. Have you tried CUETools?
  5. Re: "One File Flac" - Previously Verified AccurateRip - Now to Split them out

What did you use to create the CUE image?
I use CUETools for any CUE related processing.

Re: Asset as a DNLA server?

I believe the Internet Gateway Device Protocol is implemented via UPnP (just like DLNA is), and it's this that is recommended to be turned off in routers as it allows devices/software to set up port...

    Re: AccurateRip database update

I've just seen this update so thanks for that.

Do you have any stats about submissions over time? I think we all know CD purchases have dropped significantly over the years, but it would be...

    AccurateRip database update

    Hi @Spoon,

I was just wondering when we can expect an update of the AccurateRip database? I have a handful of discs now that don't exist there and can see on the web site that it was last updated...

    Re: Year/Date Tagging philosophies

I assume you're replying to me, but I just inferred that myself "I use year(DATE) in my folder naming scheme so remasters don't cause a naming conflict", in other words, because they have different...

    Re: Year/Date Tagging philosophies

I store DATE (release date) and ORIGINALDATE, but also have a RELEASE tag that would hold information like '50th Anniversary Deluxe' to differentiate the releases.

I use year(DATE) in my folder...
  11. Re: Various Artists Compilation album display artist name with Heos

Unfortunately I don't have a HEOS system to test this with, but have you tried using a normal UPnP control point e.g. BubbleUPnP? Someone suggested this works (requires using the HEOS app to...
  12. Re: Anything faster than PerfectTunes to find audio file duplicates?

Given they're all FLAC could you not just use "metaflac --show-md5sum" to generate a list of audio hashes for all your files and then dedupe that? Obviously that's not going to give you a fuzzy match...
  13. Re: Do you think including name of artist in track is unnecessary

I wholly browse by tags - and any playlists I do have are just .m3u8 so the tags are exposed there too - so I just use %discnumber%.%tracknumber%, which means I don't have silly long filenames or...
  14. Re: Is it possible to rip a CD directly to an NAS drive?

Assuming you can write directly to the drive (which you should be able to), what's your backup strategy?

I have a dedicated hard drive in my PC that holds the master copy of my music, which then...
