    I currently use a Sansa Clip+ with Rockbox installed that allows me to use a microSD of 128GB. Rockbox can support a large number of audio formats.

    The CD Ripper can only rip a single track at a time. I usually find that whilst one core is encoding one track another is ripping the next.

    ALAC files should be created as m4a files. Have you checked your iTunes settings with regards to how it transfers the files to your ipod?

    The file could be protected especially if it was bought via iTunes. How do you listen to the file? Did you buy the m4b file yourself?

    If you launch the dBpowerAMP Configuration it will tell you which version of the software is installed plus its status.

    It will also inform you of which codecs etc. are installed.

    As you hadn't seemed to have changed anything the only cause I could think of was that something was preventing the destination folder being written to.
