  3. Re: Folder Names in "Music Library" Aren't Updating

MediaInfo and JRiver see the actual written tags as does every other non-Illustrate application including Finder, XLD, and mp3tag, which I just checked. DBPoweramp and PerfectTunes are the only...
  4. Re: Folder Names in "Music Library" Aren't Updating

Yeah, both PerfectTunes ID Tag and the tag editor window are showing the old tags.
  5. Re: Folder Names in "Music Library" Aren't Updating

So DBPoweramp and PerfectTunes sees the old tags but MediaInfo and JRiver see the actual tags. How do I update DBPoweramp and PerfectTunes to see the correct tags?
  6. Re: Folder Names in "Music Library" Aren't Updating

They're not on a NAS but I have already tried clearing the database and rescanning.
  7. Re: Folder Names in "Music Library" Aren't Updating

I write most of my tags on the fly with JRiver Media Center and then its Rename, Move, & Copy Files tool can change the file locations and folder structures depending on how the tags are written. I...
  8. Re: Folder Names in "Music Library" Aren't Updating

The ID Tags were updated (which is what led to new folder names and a new folder structure) prior to rescanning my library with PerfectTunes but PerfectTunes is still using the old tags.
  9. Re: Folder Names in "Music Library" Aren't Updating

I'm trying to use the Album Art program. It displays the old folder names which are a mess and therefore it isn't updating the art for those folders.
  10. Re: Using ID Tag Processing/[ID Tag Update] for Multi-Disc Tagging of Folders & Metad

Probably? For some of these files, which have been received from various sources, they don't even include a disc number or disc total (in other words, the fields are blank). In some cases the disc...
  11. Folder Names in "Music Library" Aren't Updating

    Hello,

I recently drastically changed the and folder structure and folder names in my music library and PerfectTunes won't reflect these changes. I removed the library and cleared the cache but...
  12. Re: Using ID Tag Processing/[ID Tag Update] for Multi-Disc Tagging of Folders & Metad

    Hey mville,

What I'm saying is that I have a mixture of different files (roughly 15,000 songs in 1200 folders) with inconsistent metadata that I want to batch fix with tagging—some albums have...
  13. Re: Using ID Tag Processing/[ID Tag Update] for Multi-Disc Tagging of Folders & Metad

After some thought, I think what I need to do is figure out how to write expressions that can check for certain values in sequence such as "if the album value doesn't have a disc number check the...
  14. Using ID Tag Processing/[ID Tag Update] for Multi-Disc Tagging of Folders & Metadata

    Hello again,

  15. Re: Using DBPoweramp as an External Encoder in JRiver Media Center 29

First of all, Peter, thank you so much for the exceptional effort you put toward this topic. I work with a few people on creating complete catalogues for specific artists and I'm always raving about...
  16. Re: Using DBPoweramp as an External Encoder in JRiver Media Center 29

Yeah I have an option that allows me to add gaps between tracks and so I set a standard gap of .3 seconds. For stuff you're referring to that should have gaps I use JRiver's "Link" function to group...
  17. Re: Using DBPoweramp as an External Encoder in JRiver Media Center 29

The conversions I'm trying to accomplish will be applied to every lossless file I add to my library (mostly for the trim function) but I won't have copies of the originals. The trimming is intended...

  19. Re: Using Trim Silence to remove ALL Digital Silence 0s from beginning and end of tra

This ended up working and has been a huge help in cleaning up long silences at the beginning and end of tracks.

    Thanks, Spoon!
  20. Re: Using [Arrange Audio] to Organize and ID Tag Batches of Audio Files

    Hi again

This is an approach that actually makes a lot of sense and one I might seriously consider because I like the fact that you can include subtitles which I usually end up throwing out...

I've been using rule-based manipulations within ID Tag Processing to standardize my genres. My manipulations are currently in blocks such as:

  23. Re: Using [Arrange Audio] to Organize and ID Tag Batches of Audio Files

Hey simbun, thank you for the resource, I will definitely look into the dBpoweramp Naming page that you recommended.

The reason why I want to add (Disc x) to the album tag is because I tag...
  24. Re: Using [Arrange Audio] to Organize and ID Tag Batches of Audio Files

Hey Spoon, this did the trick for arranging multi-disc albums into folders "Disc 1", "Disc 2", etc and also not creating disc folders for single disc albums, which will make my life a lot easier....
