Hi,
There is a small problem with the code in the LoadTags() subroutine presented in the first post above. Specifically it won't handle an "=" in tags.
Although uncommon there are tags with "="...
Thanks for that. Not needing them makes my life just that little bit easier. :)
We'll I just tried again. Moderated again. Apparently if you post a link it gets moderated.
I was trying to point you to one of the links that showed ALBUM ARTIST SORT ORDER as iTunes format. ...
I put a link it to the site that listed ALBUMARTISTSORTORDER as in use in iTunes, so maybe that did it?
The link is http://help.mp3tag.de/main_tags.html
Weird. I posted another reply to an earlier comment just before this one but its gone for moderation while this one showed up right away.
I didn't even use any naughty words! :)
Go figure.
My thoughts exactly.
I wasn't clear. I convert the FLAC files to other formats for Apple ecosystem playback (MP4, ALAC depending on desired quality).
Good to hear that the "...SortOrder" tags have not been necessary...
Thanks for the replies.
I think I'll give it a go but may limit the tag set to the ones I really care about which are ARTISTSORT, ALBUMARTISTSORT, and COMPOSERSORT.
By the way, according to...
I know there is no standard for Vorbis comments in FLAC files around whether AlbumArtistSort or 'Album Artist Sort' is recognised by a player/server. In fact for a number of tags, whether to name...
Interesting.

When I set the naming string to just [tag]ComposerSort[] for FLAC under Multi Encoder, the track gets created as:
"M:\Music Library.flac"
The settings I have are shown in the...
Yes. With all the latest Codecs and updates.
Maybe I didn't explain clearly enough. I know where the UNDEF_TAG string comes from. It's a deliberate part of my naming string where i have logic that checks if a tag has a value (see the code...
Apologies. This should have been posted under the CD Ripper forum but I'm on my phone now and can't figure out how to move it. Please can a moderator please move it? Thanks

Hi,
I have a...
@BrodyBoy - Thanks for pointing out the location to set up profiles in DMC.
@Spoon - Thanks for the pointer to the [IF] info and good to know the limit will be increased in 15.1
I recently broke the length limit on my naming string.
I use the same string in Music Converter as in CD Ripper and noticed the limitation when copying the string from CDR into MC. Apparently...
Thanks for the great tip BrodyBoy!
I just reached the length limit on my naming string and this tip will allow me to bring it under control again.
Cheers
With reference to this thread on Arrange Audio and filename restricted characters:...
OK, that makes sense.
As Arrange Audio already includes an option that mimics partial functionality of the Folder.jpg Preserve DSP I've requested some enhancements in the Wish List forum for the...
I just re-read the thread.
When you said:
I took this to mean that Arrange Audio self-deciding the filenames (and ignoring the CD Ripper restricted character substitutions) was the possible...
Sorry, I wasn't clear enough in my last post.
While I did experience the folder bug that is getting fixed (thanks), my real issue is that dMC appears to be ignoring ALL the file name restricted...
Thanks Spoon
That post refers to the bug fix as:
This update has a big fix regarding tags with / or \ and the creation of undesired subfolders.
Just for clarity, was that fixed by having...
Was just going to post that I'm seeing this too and it's causing issues with conversions using Arrange Audio for me.
I was hoping it was going to be fixed in DSP R10, but the bug still exists.

I can see that the option to rearrange folder.jpg already...
Hi,
I have my CDs ripped to flac and am using dMC with Arrange Audio and using the ID Tag Processing and Playlist Writer DSP effects to change the directory structure of my library and my file...
