This has nothing to do with dbpa. It has to do with the preferences of the computer where the files reside. I have all audio types set to use foobar2000 on my Win11 computer.
Already available option in ripper settings.
Very interesting. Thanks!
Sorry your examples are not clear to me. Provide some exact details of different types of situations and exactly what you would want the folders and sub folders to be named and file name with...
I use this on my windows machine. Handles various artists, multi disks, single disks, album artist or just artist. (this is windows. for Mac replace backslash with forwardslash)
...
@schmidj yes, that sounds more like what he is asking now that I think about it more.
yes. Usually. Just curious. Why rip CDs then reburn them and rip again?
I may have misinterpreted your question. If you RIP CDs with dbpa and add metadata, this metadata will be associated with your files on virtually any server/player. But in rereading, you mention...
yes, and many (most) other server/players.
Agree, but note this playback is not intended to be a player for digital files. It can allow playback of a CD that you have inserted to rip. Maybe useful for checking songs if you don't want to rip...
Dbpa is a ripper and converter, not a server/player. Consider foobar2000 as server/player.
I personally use 1000x1000, jpg.
I rip to FLAC, use "ultrasecure" ripping option, and only DSP used in ripping is REPLAYGAIN (which adds Album and Track RG tags). I don't enable embedding album art and instead have it create a...
what's the error message you are getting?
what other music programs (player, server, tagging, etc.) do you have on this computer? It would be one of those.
2023-12-22 is the newest version of dbpoweramp for Windows.
if itunes can rip it, why not rip to WAV (or ALAC or AIFF) with itunes, then convert from WAV to FLAC using dbpoweramp.
yes, true peak factor, I'd use 2x. I'm not sure how 25dB relates to -18 LUFS. I'd just go with the dB number that is the default when you click on that option.
Welcome!
FLAC vs AIFF: Since my collection will fit in around 1TB uncompressed, I am still undecided whether to use FLAC (uncompressed) or AIFF (better metadata than WAV and I only use MacOS and...
This is correct behavior. This is just for setting how you want files named based on tag metadata. One does not even need to select the current disc metadata option, as that is just showing you how...
simply start multiple dbpa sessions on your Mac. And for each session choose a different attached drive. I know I can do this in windows, so assume it is possible in the Mac version.
Aha. I have the first one. Thanks c
I'm seeing I think the same thing being reported. Under my Win11 64 bit install, in my right click menu, when I select dbpoweramp, I then get duplicate submenu selection options.
I'm running this...
