Re: dBpoweramp for Mac, version R16.4 beta

No, 16.3 works smoothly on repeated rips.

Re: dBpoweramp for Mac, version R16.4 beta

I think I'm seeing something odd with the beta, though it could just be my drive/computer. If I attempt to rip more than one CD, the second one seems to read as if it were bad -- that is, it reads...

Re: Get settings from previous installation

Where does the OS X version save its settings?

    Thanks.

    Re: Configuring AccurateRip

It might also be nice to remove the "Secure ripping functions better with AccurateRip enabled and configured." under secure rip settings if AccurateRip is already enabled. It's a little confusing.

    Configuring AccurateRip

    Hi:

I'm a little confused here. According to https://www.dbpoweramp.com/cd-ripper-setup-guide.htm (if I'm reading it correctly), I should eventually see a dialog box that asks me to configure...

    Re: Possible naming feature?

Hmm. Any chance that a feature like the one I described might make it into a future release?

    Possible naming feature?

This might be in the way of a feature request; I'm not sure if what I'm asking for exists.

On the web page that has examples on how to construct a naming string, there are symbols used; that is...

Re: Sort tags not being written

I've tracked down the problem I'm seeing. The sort tags _are_ written, it's just that my player (Logitech Music Server) isn't recognizing them. The two tags I was concerned with are "ARTIST SORT" and...
  10. Re: Suddenly...it takes ages to download metadata!

I find that on the OS X version I can uncheck freedb in the list of providers and dbPoweramp still tries to retrieve info from freedb.

    Sort tags not being written

    Hi:

I'm using the OS X verions of dbPoweramp, ripping to FLAC.

What I'm seeing: even though the 'sort artist' and 'sort album artist' tags are populated in the Meta section, they are not being...
  12. Re: Suddenly...it takes ages to download metadata!

Did this just start to happen? I've noticed that the freedb server seems to be down right now -- it could just be taking some time before the connection times out.

    Re: Conditional tagging

Yes, I probably just have to learn how to do this within dbPoweramp. I have always used a tagger called Bliss to set up the file names and directory structure, and I'm just learning how dbPoweramp...

    Re: Conditional tagging

Largely, it's personal preference. I pass the files through some software that would prepend the disc number to every file name, and I'd prefer that single discs have no disc number.

    Conditional tagging

I have searched for this, but perhaps I'm not searching the right phrase or something.

dbPoweramp writes the disc number and disc total to each flac file. Is there a way to only write those tags...
