Great, thanks!! Whew.

Attached is a brief log of one track on a disk that is not matching with AR - I tried multiple times to rip that track (including re-inserting the disk in the drive), but get the same outcome:
...
Thanks!

As it happens, yes! I had done that!
I deleted that one track file and changed the name, so it read into another folder though.
Also, I re-tried ripping just that one track and got the same...
On one CD that I just read in, I see a green colored CRC value on the first track - the C0CACDC1 value shown below. The rest are the usual black text.
The ripper log says that all is normal (I...
Another question: do purchased FLAC 44.1k/16 files (i.e., from on-line sources) play fine? If not, then the audio "player" may be the source of the problem.

EDIT: never mind ... I just...
I should have been clearer. What I meant was that if dBpoweramp invokes an external executable for the "??? -> FLAC" final conversion - i.e., rather than a linked-in library - perhaps that external...
A complete SWAG: could the converter program that converts from WAV to FLAC be corrupted? Or dbpoweramp is accessing an old version of that converter somehow? Or some other tool installed a buggy...
Good to know that - thanks! I have not bought anything from Pono yet, but may do so for the albums I do not have in CD form already.
Am still waiting for my player and headphones to do the...
Forgot to mention Pono ... they have hi-res music available for a lot less than HDtracks. And a player ... which may be connectable to home stereo systems?
Z
Yeah ... agreed.
Separately something to note. Ripping a CD to higher bit rates or bit depth than the original 44.1kHz / 16 bit stereo is useless, IMHO - the music information simply isn't...
Hi, all.
Continuing to use and like dbpoweramp! But, a few more questions with more ripping done.
1. If an album is not in AccurateRip, does dbpoweramp go into a "read many times to confirm...
It happened in the past few months ... I had done a rip of that disc as a test some months back, the spot had not been there and I was able to rip it with EAC during my test. So, for now, I have...
Ahha! I think I have figured out my problem. For some reason (unknown to me), my super-sophisticated Firewall/Web Filter was causing things to slow down for CD Ripper when it went to do the encode....
Ah! Good to know that ... I have not started ripping any of my Classical disks yet, so this is excellent advice ... and well in time!
Thanks!
Z
Yup. Exactly my question!
CD technology (the original Red Book standard) existed well before any of the lossy audio compression techniques in use today for music players.
Music was sampled into...
I'll try that and report back ... thanks!
Z
Hi, all.
Pardon the newbie problem I am experiencing ... have searched on the forum for an answer without any luck. Tried disabling Magic Brainz meta-data search (as mentioned by one person) for...
