  1. Re: Nimbie stops loading CDs since Windows 10 Version 2004

We now know that the problem is with some of the TEAC CD drives.
Some serial numbers block the drive from opening under Windows 10 Build 2004.
    This is a hardware problem.
We have a lot of TEAC...
  2. Re: Nimbie stops loading CDs since Windows 10 Version 2004

Our current test shows that QQGetTray and BS Utility only work for one CD.
The tray does not open when loading the next, second CD.

Switching the Nimbie off and on then works again for the next...
  3. Anyone working with Nimbie and Windows 7 ?

Since the beginning of 2020 we have been getting more and more problems with every new build of Windows 10.
The Nimbie keeps stopping to load CDs. Or does not start the job.
    With the current build...
  4. Re: Nimbie stops loading CDs since Windows 10 Version 2004

Sorry for the break in writing, I was out of the office.
    QQGetTray works very fine.
Immediately afterwards I started the batch ripper and it doesn't load a CD.
We tested this on several computers...
  5. Nimbie no longer loads CDs since Windows 10 Build 2004

For several months it has been noticed that the batch ripper is causing more and more problems with a Nimbie.
We are very sure that this is due to the Windows 10 updates.
    If the Batch Ripper is...
  6. Re: Nimbie stops loading CDs since Windows 10 Version 2004

I don't have the software QQGetTray and I don't see any link to download.
  7. Nimbie stops loading CDs since Windows 10 Version 2004

For several months now, the Nimbie has been causing more and more problems when loading CDs.
We are very sure that this is related to recent Windows 10 updates.
    When starting Batch-Ripper, the...
  8. Re: Batchripper with Nimbie rips first CD but only looks up metadata for rest of batc

    Do you have installed dBpoweramp-Batch-Ripper-Nimbie-exe?

Otherwise I would install Windows 10 Pro x64 on a good laptop or computer.
Windows 7 is very very old. Maybe this is the problem.
    We...

    Re: CD Unloading Delay (Nimbie)

    Do you use Windows 10?

Then we may have a similar problem.
It usually takes about 1 second to load and unload a CD.
But for a few weeks now, we have had the problem that after a few CDs,...
  10. Re: We no longer get title names - only artist and album - R17.0

    Thank you.
  11. We no longer get title names - only artist and album - R17.0

We installed version 17 and have not had any title names since then.

Only artist and album appear. And instead of title names it just says:
    Track 01, Track 02, track 03 ...

    All providers are...

    Re: Quality question at FLAC

    Thank you all.
Based on the metadata, the customer seems to rip the same album. The customer does not want to pay after receiving our work. We are just not sure whether the customer is trying to...

    Re: Quality question at FLAC

    Thank you.
    Now I got his audioexamples.
I realize that his CD rips are almost 7dB louder. Totally overcompressed. He claims to have used nothing but XLD CD-Ripper.
But XLD works with the help...

    Re: Quality question at FLAC

    Thank you.
That calms me down a bit. So I'm waiting for what the customer uploads to me as a comparison. Maybe he is looking for an excuse not to have to pay.

    Re: Quality question at FLAC

    Yes to all 3 questions.
The customer's playback system is unknown. But if he rips a few himself - and compares them to ours - the playback system is identical. So he shouldn't be able to hear a...

    Quality question at FLAC

We rip CDs for customers. With the Acronova Nimbie robot.
Today a customer reports that our results are terrible. He says our FLAC sounds as bad as MP3.
He would be very disappointed with the...
  17. Re: Metadata disappears suddenly after 4 seconds

    Wow - That helped immediately.
    Thank you.
  18. Metadata disappears suddenly after 4 seconds

    Hallo,
By some CDs the correct metadata is shown for about 4 seconds but disappears suddenly, before I can rip the CD.
The moment the Internet query ends, all fields are empty again.
    All...

  20. Saving settings and profiles to an new computer

We just bought a new computer for batch ripping. The old computer will be replaced.
Is there any way to save or copy the settings and profiles and transfer them to the new computer?
    For example...

    File names are too long

While ripping a Classic CD collection, we found that the pathnames are getting too long.
The reason is that some titles have insanely long names.

To prevent this in the future we must use the...
  24. Re: Error Recovery with Hardware - not with Software

Yes - they are really the same DVD drives: TEAC DV-W5600S
The 4 manual drives are external drives connected via SATA.
And the Nimbie is conected via USB 3.0.
  25. Re: Error Recovery with Hardware - not with Software

I got answer from Acronova Support:

To our knowledge, there is no firmware update available for TEAC drives.

For your reference, TEAC drives are designed specifically for autoloaders, which...
