  1. What would be the best way to go about ripping both AIFF an ALAC?

I noticed that when I rip both at the same time, both files are saved into same one folder, whereas I would want there to be two folders, one with all AIFF and the other with all ALAC files.

    So...

Sticky: Re: CD Drive Accuracy 2019

Does this mean that you are better off with a laptop that has an internal drive (preferably Bluray-capable?) rather than buying an external drive?

My ripping is in 0.1 speed

After 14 minutes, only 5 percent of the first track is done.
How can I change the speed ? I don't recall doing anything to the speed and I'm in burst mode.

However I'm using Pioneer Drive on...

Re: What does re-rip to CRC mean?

It was one of the options when I did a right click on a track for purpose of re-ripping.
  6. Re: How inaccurate is inaccurate? Exact spot in track?

is there any other ripping program that might show this kind of information?
  7. How inaccurate is inaccurate? Exact spot in track?

Is there a way to make it show how minor an inaccuracy is? If it's inaudible I don't want to try to re-rip it, but is there a way to know whether an inacurate rip is audible or inaudible?

    And also...

CD driver not on completely flat surface

If the CD driver is not on a flat surface but slighted slanted, could that affect the quality of the rip?

What does re-rip to CRC mean?

Does that mean ri-ripping not the whole track but only part of it that didn't rip well?

    What are logs for?

    https://www.reddit.com/r/audiophile/comments/1xs3at/best_cd_ripper/

This person says EAC generates logs better than dBpoweramp. What are logs and how are they important?
  11. Re: How do you make title of song to appear first

Upon playing music on my Android phone again, I found that I was remembering incorrectly, and it does not display the name of player first in a long title that moves across the screen. Rather, it...
  12. Re: How do you make title of song to appear first

Ok that's good to know that it can be all fixed later.

    Right now I have this:
    [MAXLENGTH]150,[track] [title] - [artist] []\[MAXLENGTH]150,[IFVALUE]album artist,[album artist],[IFCOMP]Various...
  13. Re: How do you make title of song to appear first

After it has already been ripped, is it possible to auto-change the order of the names by batch, instead of one by one?

The order I now want is:

Track number, title of song, composer, artist...
  14. How do you make title of song to appear first

Right now Dynamic naming is set as:

  15. Re: I read this about DB Poweramp. Is this true?

Some time in the past, was it true that you couldn't tell if it was accurate with dbpoweramp unless somebody have already ripped it in EAC or XLD?
  16. I read this about DB Poweramp. Is this true?

What this seem to say is that EAC will check the CD against itself, while dBp will check it against other CDs. I was hoping that with my Pioneer's Pure Read (if it has hard time reading, it will try...
  17. Re: On one of my CD, one track keeps getting error

I think it just said 'Error'
  18. Re: On one of my CD, one track keeps getting error

I did that and it still came out as error for this CD.
  19. On one of my CD, one track keeps getting error

And in the folder, there the track is not found. I thought even if there was error the track would be found but it decided to not copy that track at all just because some errors were found.

    How...

Are you supposed to enable AccurateRip

I thought it was enabled automatically.
But when I went to secure ripper options, it says: "secure ripping functions better with AccurateRip enabled and configured."
  21. Re: PureRead drive - Recommended Ripper Options most accurate rip

I read somewhere that Pure Read is only guaranteed to work on the software Power2Go which comes in a CD within the box.

How does my Secure settings look?

I changed the numbers randomly but can anyone guide me as to what would be the best numbers to put?

Also does fingerprints affect ripping? Should you always clean the CD before ripping?
  23. Does Pure Read of Pioneer drive mess up AccurateRip?

    https://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?15352-Pioneer-DVR-115D-with-quot-PureRead-quot

I bought Pioneer because of its advertised Pure Read 3+, but if this comment is true then it's worse than...
  24. Re: How do you re-rip only the track that has an error?

Thanks. I'm on Mac and I selected the three missing tracks, I right clicked and clicked on 'rip selected'.

However this is giving me the same result. It comes out as error.

    Could something be...
  25. Re: PureRead drive - Recommended Ripper Options most accurate rip

What do you have your Secure Ripper Options as? This is mine (I changed the number randomly, wondering what would be the smart way to do it). 2841
