  1. Re: CD-Ripper 16.6 Finds Metadata (Sometimes) and then (sometimes) discards it.

    @Spoon

Just a thought and question: if CD Text is available, what happens if the four online databases have no match for a new CD and respond very slow? Could the late response overwrite / clear...
  2. Re: CD-Ripper 16.6 Finds Metadata (Sometimes) and then (sometimes) discards it.

    Hey Dennis,

I don't know this effect and I rip to flac too. I can't even imagine why this effect can have anything to do with an encoder.

Do you have enabled CD Text as source for meta data by...

    Re: Cover Art

Finder is part of Apple's operating system, which can't handle (play or display album art) flac files. The operating system doesn't know anything special about those files - not that these are audio...

  5. Re: Had To Replace PC Due to Hard Drive and Mobo Failure - How To Reinstall DB Powera

Do you see your CD drive in Windows File Explorer (You are on Windows, aren't you?)? Did you reinstall dBpa from the scratch? Did you configure dBpa and especially CD Ripper?

Maybe to collect album arts to offer you? Look at the port range and it is outgoing traffic.

  8. Re: New Drive, Drive Clacking on certain tracks, inaccurate rips

Are the rips secure at least? Being not accurate could be a problem of missing database entries for those discs.

Have you C2 pointers enabled? If so, disable it as a test.

    Re: Rip 24 Bits 96Khz

Those CDs have been mastered with 24 bits and 96 kHz by the record company, but if those CDs are Audio CDs (Red Book Standard), the audio files are only 16bit with 44,1 kHz sample rate.

Re: New member and basic ripping set up.

Where do the flac files come from? Did you rip them yourself? If this is the case have a look at the output path and naming in CD Ripper. Try to copy the path and naming string.

    I for myself...

You have to use the "Multi Encoder". Once you have selected "Multi Encoder" you can add multiple encoders (like mp3, flac or what ever). For each and every encoder you have then to configure the...

This naming is still possible. Just choose "Edit Dynamic Naming" in the drop down box named "Output To" (see settings).

Re: Databases not queried during conversion

If you convert audio files, only the meta data within the source files will be transferred into the new audio files. There are no queries to the internet databases in that process.
