Thanks, Spoon. The problem is I have moved several times and do not recall the email address I used when I first ordered the program. I'll continue to scratch to see If I can come up with it!
Arnie
Trying to install update but having no luck finding original order number - getting "Current email address not found." Please advise.

Spoon, I'm always surprised that, when posters ask this sort of question, the issue of their listening device is never mentioned. The relative sound quality of various audio formats at...

Errr.....just let me know when and where you are going to be driving so I can

Uninstalling everything and re-installing 11.5 and the Player solved the problem.
Arnie
It also depends on what frequencies are present on the original recording!
Arnie
Spoon, I've had the player installed since Day 1. I have not downloaded R12 alpha. Perhaps I should just reinstall 11.5?

Hello old friends! I have lost the "Convert" option in the context menu list when I right-click an audio file. I have unchecked and re-checked the correct box in the configuration window, with a...

Thanks for that information, Lt.

According to my recollection, the main difference is that with RealPlayer installed, conversion to/fromanothet formay takes place at 1x. With Real Alternative it is abut 16x.

Use "No Preset" and move the slider all the way over to the left.

Use "Alt preset Extreme".

Sorry I misunderstood. I will read the. thread again.

There must be some misunderstanding. There is no such thing as a digital audio file whose peak exceeds the 0dB level. If you are starting with a file that has audio clipping...
Are you playing them with an mp3PRO player? If not, you are only hearing the frequencies below 8000Hz.
Did you also install "Real Alternative" including Media Player Classic?

I should have read more carefully. However, I just converted the second file (100.rm) using your settings with no problem. Are you closing all other programs and using the "Normal"...
Sorry, Christina.....my post was meant as a reply to the other "Chris", the one who originated the thread! And yes, I have "the whole kit-and-kaboodle" installed and everything works fine. We'll get...
But if the tracks came from CDs that you still have, you could re-rip them and then find the originalpeak volumes. Painstaking, but at least you would not have to reburn.
Chris, I took your first rm file and converted it. There is no mp3 "Alt-Preset Voice" that I can find, so I used Voice/Abr/56Kbps/mono.
It converted fine at about 18x real encoding speed. Don't...
And I don't see why there is a "2-step conversion". Your soundcard takes the digital wave or mp3 data and converts it to analog for your speakers. That is the stream you will be recording. If you...

Thanks Christina. Yes, I should have made the proper distinction between m4p and mp4. Sloppy posting, I'm afraid!
Just a little clarification. You can create your own mp4 files from wave or any other format and those mp4 files can be converted back. I think what LtData was referring to were mp4/aac files...
