The answer I got to this question is that those options simply are not in the FDK-AAC encoder. CBR allows you to go to that bitrate, VBR is restricted to 224kbps max.
If you are on a Windows or...
Yup, use the Multi Encoder option, set up each one like you normally would when ripping, but just point each one to different locations.
I'm pretty sure FLV is a video format.
Which web browser are you using? I was only able to drag/drop album artwork out of Mozilla Firefox. In Google Chrome and IE I could not do it.
You can also right click > Copy on your artwork,...
At least in Linux Mint 17, dBpoweramp DOES run under WINE. You have to play with the WINE configuration to set your cdrom path to be mapped to a drive letter, and you have to flip around the drive...
Same here. I encoded some files to FDK-AAC at VBR 224kbps and thought they sounded pretty good on my Fiio X1.
Hello Spoon,
I just wanted to stop by to say thank you for the variable bitrate option. I was hoping for this as it will save me some space on my microSD card as opposed to using 256kbps CBR.

Doesn't it mean only one other person has gotten a similar AccurateRip result? What does it give you if you use a different metadata provider? I can't imagine it is a problem so long as it says it...
Yep probably a poorly made disc. Try a different drive see if it makes any difference.
Any possibility of getting QAAC as a built-in codec?
Hey, was wondering if it would be possible to build the iTunes AAC encoder into dBpoweramp. I can't imagine it wouldn't be possible since foobar2000 has it built in now.
The reason I'm asking is...
It does, but it's not free. You only get a 21-day? trial.
This is what I'm doing, creating one big CUE file, but dBpowearmp is creating corrupted CUE files because I cannot mount them at all with Daemon Tools. It just pops up and gives an error message...
Thanks Spoon. I will give it another try.
EDIT: No go. Try to start ripping CUE file, it just errors out. I'm able to get it to run in R14, but then Daemon Tools keeps telling me it can't...
Tried to mount it with Daemon Tools and that's what it kept telling me.
This is the procedure I did. Uninstalled R14 completely, installed R15, installed CUE sheet DSP. Can't get it to work. When it did, it was producing corrupt CUE files.
Doesn't work. I set up R15 Beta, can't add any DSP effects, the CUE file thing doesn't even show up when selecting format.
Works in R14 all my stuff is there, but when trying to generate CUE...
I have had that happen to me on an Eddie Money CD. dBpoweramp just wouldn't rip it. Tried ripping it with EAC instead and seemed to work, then just converted it to the format I wanted and edited my...
