Re: Power amp no longer exists?

    Cool09

You are referring to dBpoweramp Audio Player (also referred to as dAP).
The latest and last version of dAP was release 3 beta 6. The last non-beta version of dAP was dAP Release 2 (but the...
  2. Re: Does dbamp prefer or require certain media for burning?

To add to the above, and to provide a response that more directly addresses the original question:

dBpoweramp CD Writer does not have a preference for any one kind of CD disc over another, but...
  3. Re: Does dbamp prefer or require certain media for burning?

Most standard CD players nowadays will play most computer CD discs, but not CD-RW's (which store information a little differently than standard CDs.

But some players, especially older or cheaper...
  4. Re: is there documentation on dbpoweramp's ability to alter content?

    FastFreddy-

The Resample DSP is used when converting an audio file from one frequency (say 44.1 kHz) to an audio file in the same or another format at a different frequency (say 48 or 24 kHz)....

    Re: Volume Leveling (Revisited)

I'm not sure if I understand what you are asking.

My understanding is that ReplayGain can be applied non-destructively (meaning without altering the characteristics of the original audio file)...
  6. Re: is there documentation on dbpoweramp's ability to alter content?

    FastFreddy-

dBpoweramp music converter's (dMC) abilities to alter audio content is in the DSP Effects.
You can find a description of these effects here:...

Re: Haven't used dmc in a while

Auxiliary Input was a feature of dMC up to dMC r11.5. When dMC was re-deigned (starting with r 12.0) Auxiliary Input was not included. This was a popular feature but is not likely to re-appear.

    As...

Re: peak to peak volume normalise

Volume normalize will change the audio qualities of a file. It can introduce undesirable changes, especially if your settings introduce too much gain.

The best plan would be to use the ReplayGain...

I've seen this before. Essentially what is happening in this case is that a conversion succeeds in establishing a shell for the converted file and then fails. You can scan your music collection to...

Re: 21-day trial won't convert to the free version!

Yes, you lose the ability to convert to mp3 (but not, I believe, to convert from mp3) with the free version. This is because there is a patent on the technology underlying the mp3 codec and the...

    Re: Music Converter

You might want to see if dMC r14 will convert other files. If your .m4a file is an iTunes download, it may well be copy-protected. In that case, dMC cannot convert it directly.
