Yes, CD Ripper is one of the tools in the dBpoweramp Music Converter suite.
Then those SACDs will be hybrid SACDs and you are only ripping the audio CD layer and NOT the hi-res DSD layer.
Have you tried posting in the Apple Community?
If the disc is a Hybrid SACD it will have 2 layers, the hi-res DSD layer and the red-book audio CD layer.
If the disc is a Single layer SACD, it will only have the hi-res DSD layer.

In my experience, issues with VLC as an audio player keep cropping up. I guess this is due to the software development emphasis being video playback. Foobar2000 is also my personal choice for audio...
In which player software do you hear the blip?
Yes, understood. It's just a matter of preference/choice. :)
A note on sort tags.
If you populate Artist/Album Artist as Elvis Presley or Composer as Frédéric Chopin (i.e. firstname lastname) and want the Artist/Album Artist to be sorted under P rather than...
To view/edit tags for individual tracks, select (highlight) a single track then, in the Tag tab select a tag and the value can be viewed/edited. Users are able to select multiple tracks and view/edit...
Yes, it may be a bug. If all the tracks with Album=Full Circle have the Album Artist tag populated with Drowning Pool or Creed, then you should see 2 separate albums.
In most metadata software, Artist is per track, while Album Artist is per album. The Illustrate software uses the Album/Album Sort tags and the Album Artist/Album Artist Sort tags to identify unique...

Which OS?
What OS is running on the Xeon machine with the 500GB SSD drive?
Where is dBpoweramp installed?
Where is EAC installed?
Firstly, I would run Test Conversion on all the flac files.

For me, not seeing embedded artwork icons in File Explorer is not an issue, as long as I see the correct artwork in my audio player(s). My player is foobar2000 and my flac files show the foobar2000...
Double check that the artist, artist sort, album artist and album artist sort tags are consistent for all tracks, in both the Drowning Pool and Creed 'Full Circle' albums.
... and also check the...
iTunes, Windows Media Player?
It isn't only security/ant-virus software that can cause problems.
What platform, Windows 10?
Looks like flac files are associated with media player classic on your system, hence the media player classic icon..
Are you converting to a folder that is being monitored by any other software?
ALL red-book audio CDs (CDDA) are 44.1 kHz, 16-bit.
It is technically possible to change the bit rate and sampling rate when ripping CDDA in CD Ripper, by using DSPs.
Users may have a...
It IS possible, but makes no sense as you will NOT get higher resolution than the original source i.e. 16-bit, 44.1kHz.
