Initial Caps on file names after ripping

    Hi all.

I keep forgetting to go into the album details before I rip it & select "capitalise tags".

Is there an automated way to do this after the album is ripped?

Never had this before! It appears to be an otherwise accurate rip. Should I be concerned?

Is this spam? If so, is it common? Or did the message somehow get corrupted? :)

Re: A little help converting FLAC files, please.

Actually, it's just this one Yes bootleg. And when I downloaded it from a separate source, it had the same silences at the beginning & ends of all the tracks. Then, when I tried to edit the tracks,...

Re: A little help converting FLAC files, please.

Okay, so xACT converted the files to AIFF & they still play back with gaps in iTunes, which pretty much settles it.

Looks like it's a proper editing job over the weekend, to remove the gaps &...

Re: A little help converting FLAC files, please.

Well, FLAC files aren't native to the Mac, so it's a little tricky to find something that'll play them.

I can play them on my VLC player & no, they don't play back gapless, but I don't really...

A little help converting FLAC files, please.

    Hi all.

I have a 4 disc Yes bootleg that's come to me as FLAC files.

I went through the usual process of batch converting to m4a but when I started to play the album this morning (through the...

I've no doubt it will be something dumb like that, but no. No double spaces.
  11. Any ideas as to why these albums won't sort properly?

    Hi all.

Here is a screen shot of a page in my Foobar2000 mobile app:

    2607

As you can see, after the first couple of entries, I have two complete Ring Cycles, conducted by Furtwängler....
  12. Re: Why does batch converter no longer remember the previous location?

No, but when I launched it, I used to get a window that looked like this:

    2592

    Now it looks like this:

    2593

That is to say, the folders on the left were all already opened showing...
  13. Why does batch converter no longer remember the previous location?

I always rip to the same folder & batch converter used to always open with the folders already opened to that location.

It doesn't do that any more & I wondered why. Have I buggered something up...

Re: Find & Replace Tags within dBpa

I currently have about 52.8 days of classical music in my iTunes library, all tagged to perfection & exactly how I want it so that it sorts the way I like to have it on my phone.

    You're probably...

Re: Find & Replace Tags within dBpa

And finally, this is precisely my point & why I asked the question in the first place.

If I rip the entire disc as you see it now (in the first screen shot), I can then go into the finder on my...

I've done all that, except for the track names, which need to change throughout the album as act & scene changes.

Re: Find & Replace Tags within dBpa

This is getting very complicated because we're all out of sync.

As you can see from the first screen shot I posted above, I already have all the common fields set how I want them. I've typed that...

Re: Find & Replace Tags within dBpa

I tried. To be fair, for me seems completely impenetrable.

How do I tell it to take "Das Rheingold (The Rhine Gold), opera, WWV 86a:" & make it "scene 1" on tracks 1-6, "scene 2" on tracks 7-18,...

    Okay, fair enough.

So I'm just about to rip another opera. I've typed in the common fields to be how I want, now I need to do the tracks.

This is how they currently look:
