    Re: Blu-Spec CD2

Just to confirm, Blu-spec CDs are not Blu-ray discs, but red-book audio CDs. Blu-spec is just Sony marketing rubbish.
  2. Re: New User: CD Ripping for archiving and use on Media Streamer

CD Ripper rips red-book audio CDs (CD-DA) only.

    A disc containing files is not a CD-DA, rather a data disc (CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R or DVD-RW).

In your case the disc contains mp3 files. Try opening...
  3. Re: CD Ripper shows Accurate but Perfect Tunes says inaccurate

FYI, using VLC as an audio player is not advisable as it often has issues playing back tagged audio files.
  4. Re: Long term FLAC Archiving, M-DISC, and ultimately parting with my CDs? Thoughts?

You don't need M-Disc. Just make sure you backup your flac files, including off-site and/or cloud backups.
  5. Re: Asset is billed as audio only, what does that mean for album artwork?

This is likely to be an artwork size and/or resolution limitation of the player. As a test, take a single album and experiment by reducing the artwork size/resolution.

Re: dmc r16.6 reference trial and secure

I guess without the trial limitations, users are able to rip (securely), their CD collection for free.

  12. Re: Error Recovery with Hardware - not with Software

Strange indeed. If all the drives are the same (with the same firmware) and the drives are configured identically in the software, I would at least expect a similar performance from all of them.

  14. Re: Error Recovery with Hardware - not with Software

I meant the drive (bus) interface (pata, sata, scsi etc.), not the drivers.

To confirm, the Nimbie has TEAC DV-W5600S drives and the 4 DVD drives used for manual ripping are also TEAC DV-W5600S...
  15. Re: Error Recovery with Hardware - not with Software

Do all the TEAC drives have the same drive interface and the same firmware?

  19. Re: How do I set the Default "Output To" so it persists

You are missing the DMCUserFolderStr registry value (see post no. 2 in this thread).

If you are comfortable editing the registry (I advise backing up the registry, before editing), you can add the...

  21. Re: "Item Not Found" error when attempting to copy flac files from one drive to anoth

There is no problem with the source or the destination (which I make 252 characters long) filepath\filename lengths.

Also, both files exist in the same source folder, so I would expect them to...

Re-boot your system in safe mode, retry copying one of the offending files and post back with the result.
