Re: Track duration column in CD Ripper

It already does, it's called Length. If you've hidden it, right click on the Title column header and pick the columns you wish to see. My answer is based on the Windows version.

  2. Re: help me please to rip a cd with ghost track

If you've already compressed the file to mp3 then I guess mp3directcut should work. Alternatively if you want to cut the file from the wav/flac I use sox:

    sox 01.12.flac 01.12.%2n.flac trim...
  3. Re: help me please to rip a cd with ghost track

Her Majesty is a hidden track on the Beatles album Abbey Road, I assume you're talking about 'Endless, Nameless'? Typically (and from your description) this song is part of track 12 separated by...

    Re: A New Member's Observation & Question

dBpoweramp doesn't actually own the metadata, it's sourced from external providers (CD Ripper > Menu > Active Providers).
dBpoweramp matches to CDs not songs, but I'd be surprised if too many of...
  5. Re: I dont see option for Manual Metadata Search...is my version too old

It should say '...to the clipboard'. With the Manual Metadata Search window open, if you copy a Discogs or MusicBrainz URL it should auto populate - as long as you haven't got anything blocking...
  6. Re: I dont see option for Manual Metadata Search...is my version too old

Looks like it was introduced in version 17.0.

    Re: Rip Status 'Inaccurate'

Agreed, if you've tried re-ripping, ripping with a different drive and using different ripping software and you're still getting consistently inaccurate results (the CRCs for the inaccurate tracks...

    Re: Playlists creating & storing

Like AssetUPnP for instance? In my experience the only way to go for streaming your own music is UPnP, but that's because I have my collection extensively tagged and no other system can offer me what...

    Re: Questions about replaygain

Yes they are different. Quoting from bluOS:

I think foobar calculates album and track gain in separate steps, so if you wanted to use track gain you may need to calculate it.

    Re: Questions about replaygain

    The help page states:
"Only tracks which are streamed (in a format other than 'as is') would have replaygain applied."

    Again, from the help page:
"If the player supports 24 bit audio then...
  11. Re: How to re-arrange directory structor of ripped CDs

It certainly can't be done in CDRipper as that's for ripping discs, but it might be possible in Batch Converter using the Arrange Audio codec from here. Have you tagged your files with Genre as...

Re: Last two tracks of CD won't rip....

Have you tried with another ripper? If you're on Windows I'd recommend Exact Audio Copy in burst mode, or maybe XLD on a mac.

Re: adding CRC/MD5 tag to AIFF files

FLAC stores the DECODED audio MD5 hash (so it doesn't matter what compression you use, or if you subsequently modify the tags) internally, and because it's part of the specification you can use FLAC...

    Re: Custome fields in AssetUPNP

AssetUPnP already supports ALBUMARTISTSORT - at least for sorting, I haven't tried to display it directly.

I haven't actually seen the Album Artist tag defined in any standard, but I have seen...

    Re: multi-page TIFF files

    ImageMagick can do it.
I primarily use it to build pdf booklets from scans, but it's very versatile.

Re: Another dynamic (?) naming problem

In your example above, without commas used to separate the arguments how would dBpoweramp know which inputs were 2, 3 and 4? Remember, those arguments can contain spaces e.g.

Re: Another dynamic (?) naming problem

Commas are used to separate the arguments in functions e.g. [REPLACE]The,,[artist][]

Re: various sorts of missing tracks.

It sounds like you have a track that uses multiple index markers. If you were creating CUE sheets as part of your rip you'd see something like:

    TRACK 06 AUDIO
    INDEX 00 28:18:67
    INDEX...

Re: various sorts of missing tracks.

So it's not just the metadata missing, it's the tracks themselves? Interesting. Could you post a screenshot of it in CD Ripper and then maybe an equivalent in EAC/Cue Ripper e.t.c.?

  22. Re: Asset 7.4 on QNAP working strange after Firmware update to 5.0.0.2131

I think it's the only tag format that's supported for FLAC, so yes any tagger should be using Vorbis Comments.

  24. Re: Asset 7.4 on QNAP working strange after Firmware update to 5.0.0.2131

Re: Playing randmon tacks from a sub folder

If we take your starter edition of MinimServer as an example - because it's a bit less cluttered - it offers default indexes of:

    n Albums
    n Items
    n Playlists (if any exist)
    * Artist
    * Date
