Quite obvious too! Thank you very much, Spoon.

Quite obvious too! Thank you very much, Spoon.

Hi - as above - is it possible to export a list of files that don't match Accuraterip? And other failures too, like missing album artwork? If not, could such a feature be added, please? A simple text...
I'm ripping to FLAC with default settings, but I tried MP3 last night and it did the same. I then tried uninstalling/reinstalling with no improvement. However, after that I tried dropping back to a...
This was already ticked - still getting the TOTALTRACKS tag written.
Thanks very much. It's more than likely I changed something at some point and caused it myself!
Thanks again
Mick
EDIT: I did thing that 'Track number without track count' was more about...
Hi - sorry if it's clearly set out somewhere, but I noticed that for some reason, the TOTALTRACKS tag is being written and I'd like to turn that option off but can't find a clear way to do it.
It's...
I had this issue when I first moved to Asset - I did as Spoon suggested at the time and used the compilation tag. It's always worked.
Mick
If you're a Windows user, you can edit tags with 'MP3Tag' - other programs are available, as are ones for Macs...
My findings echo yours, Tom. I've tried Twonky, Kazoo Server, Minimserver and others over the years, and I know they all have their fans, but for me Asset's the one, and has been for many years.

I'm using WHS 2011... Sorry, I see everything's sorted now - this was my first visit to the forum in a few days and didn't see your post.
I get album art ok with embedded art (FLACs).
Mick
Hi
I use MP3Tag on our PC for tidying up tags after ripping. There are similar programs available for Macs (and other PC programs too) but this is my choice.
Free too!
Mick
I always pad with a leading zero, mainly because in my early days of streaming a fair few years ago, Twonky (I think) used to get the track numbering wrong as in the first post in this thread.
...
Sometimes I find Asset needs a good kick (ie a refresh all, or even a restart), to pick up all changes.
Don't know about this question though; sorry...
Mick
Are you saying you get a list of albums rather than a grid? I have the grid appear, and the albums are in alphabetical order...
Mick
Hi
The way I have Asset set up here to do that is:-
Go to 'Edit Advanced Settings'
Then under 'Browse tree' expand 'Genre'
I originally had a folder called 'root'. I deleted that and selected...
Well of course it&*8217;s possible to do - I&*8217;ve been doing it after having a quick play. Very straightforward too.
Mick
Hi
I'm currently trying to rip a series of radio shows, and the discs come with a variety of clips spread across several tracks. I'd like to rip them as one, so I'd like to be able to select, say,...
That was indeed a surprise! No comments apart from thanks for a simple converter which works nicely, and much faster (in the few instances I've used it so far) than HandBrake.
Mick
I do appreciate that, but as I clumsily said earlier, when I bought my first DS ten years ago, I had next to no compilations, so as far as my collection went then, Artist WAS Album Artist.
I have...
Why do I need to tell the server software who the album artist is? I use ARTIST search almost exclusively. Compilations have the COMPILATION tag set and Asset handles them to suit me.
My tagging...
I don't tend to use ALBUM ARTIST or ALBUMARTIST tags and as a result very few of my CD rips have them.
Mick
Thanks Spoon. I'll be interested to see if there's an actual issue with Asset or if it's down to my 'unique' tagging, although having checked I can't see anything obviously wrong there.
I did...
Hi mville - my mistake - I meant to say, in the first post, that I was using Kazoo as a control point, but that I had also tried the Lumin one and on New Albums that gave the same (incorrect) result....
Hah! I used single inverted commas! Should have said Cheers for the input so far!
