  1. Re: Asset Sort Order, Linn Kazoo, next problem, please help

I would consider ARTISTSORT and ALBUMARTISTSORT to be the standard, there are loads of applications that do it this way.

Erho, can I ask why you moved away from MinimServer since it is very easy...

Re: Performer tag after m4a conversion

Are you starting with ID3 format (i.e Wav, mp3) because the standard field for performers in ID3 is TIPL (IPLS v23) and IPLS (v24), but when Dbpoweramp transcodes files it loses these particular ID3...

So I have a load of Wav files in artist/album subfolders with E:\Wav, I want to convert to Flac and store in E:\Flac (which exists)

  10. Re: Why does conversion from WAV to AIFF change ID3 tag

ID3 tags are completely unaware of their surroundings, so if a format supports ID3 then an ID3 tag can be added into the file from somewhere. MP3, WAV, AIF and DSF all support ID3 so it would make...
  11. Re: Why does conversion from WAV to AIFF change ID3 tag

What I would most like to see is a ay to leave teh ID3 tag alone when converting form one format that supports ID3 to another.
  12. Re: Why does conversion from WAV to AIFF change ID3 tag

Is there a list of what fields DbPowermap does support ?
There are certainly no issues with iTunes using ID3 with ansi values with AIFF, AIFF properly supports ID3v23 (and ID3v22 and ID3v24) not a...

  14. Why does conversion from WAV to AIFF change ID3 tag

I converted some files from WAV to AIFF and I was surprised that the ID3 tag had changed, I assumed it would be left alone seeing as both formats support it.

    Changes are:
    - The UFID frame has not...
  15. Re: Intelligent Conversion of ID3 TXXX fields to Flac fields

Thankyou, okay that does work well for TXXX frames but I have two related issues.

    1. The primary identifier is stored in a UFID frame with the owner identifier field set to http://musicbrainz.org,...
  16. Intelligent Conversion of ID3 TXXX fields to Flac fields

Hi, just ran Batch Converter over a series of Wav files with an embedded ID3 tag and converted to Flac. It has done a great job of converting the audio and standard fields like album, artist ectera...
