Re: SHN codec with rev 22-11-25 64 bit

My understanding is that the shn codec is only available for the 32 bit version of dbpa. It won't work with the 64bit version.
  2. Re: can dbpower cd ripper rip all the tracks and encode after and maybe with a spin u

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. But take a look ripping to [Multi Encoder]. Then you can set the CD ripper to rip to WAV and also other codecs (FLAC, mp3, etc.) all at the same time.

Re: CD Ripper not launched, after Windows update

The improvements relate to metadata handling, never versions of codecs (like FLAC) etc. But correct, you can still rip a CD with the old version. I have no idea whether it works with Win10. Just...

Re: CD Ripper not launched, after Windows update

The OP reinstalled LMS and that solved his problem. 14.4 is very old. You should consider updating.

    1. no, but you might want to given your problem.
    2. yes, minor updates are free
    3. Lots of changes, including access to metadata, but none relate to SOUND QUALITY.

    Re: A New Member's Observation & Question

Agree. Something is blocking the metadata on your end. dbpa found the BS&T album you mention for me when I ripped it. And I've ripped around 5,000 CDs and there are probably fewer than 50 out of...

    Re: Playlists creating & storing

Sorry! But basically I'm saying you need a server (some sort of computer to hold your music and feed it to your players) and you need an endpoint (something to receive the music and feed it to your...
  11. Re: Converter is failing to write ReplayGain Album Tag (Conversion from FLAC to MP3)

Is another program (your music server for example) trying to access the files at the same time you are doing the conversion. The album RG value is added after all the files from the album are...

    Re: Playlists creating & storing

It doesn't have to be expensive. the dbpoweramp developer's AssetUPnP as noted above is a popular streaming server software, and then can be paired with almost any system that has a UPnP endpoint....

    Re: Playlists creating & storing

if the underlying audio files are lossless, the playlists are lossless. I use FLAC files in my playlists. Do not let the term m3u confuse you. This has nothing to do with mp3 files.

    Re: Playlists creating & storing

Almost any music library program can create and save a playlist. I use LMS, foobar2000, or mp3tag to create playlists. Any program that will create *.m3u or *.m3u8 files will work.

    Re: Questions about replaygain

foobar2000 will calculate both track and album gain in a single step, just like dbpoweramp. Foobar2000 uses R128 LUFS -18 by default.
  17. Re: Making a small USB playlist from a Large Playlist

You should look at the dbpoweramp related product, TuneFusion. It automates much of what you are trying to do.
  18. Re: How can the Batch converter send the files to a new folder

yes. Easy to do. Just set the alternative folder in the dynamic naming settings of batch converter.

Re: Cannot check not lossless cd-quality

This is not actually an issue it is just a fact of how the software works. AccurateRip can only determine if a CD quality, that is 16/44.1 lossless file is correct. Hi-Rez files may be better than CD...
