On the Mac pre-emphasis is not supported I think.

You also have to do the database fields, and force a rescan all after.
I think I have found the issue, the next update to R17 beta in a few days (which is in beta testing section of this forum) will fix.
You would need to use the Custom DSP Effect and add:
-filter:v "crop=256:256:0:824"
CD ripper does not use more than one core normally, because the cd drive is 1000x slower than encoding.
