    Re: CD Ripping....Do I have to re-rip?

I don't have PerfectTunes, but I believe you can only add ReplayGain tags using CD Ripper (during the ripping process) or MusicConverter/BatchConverter (to existing tracks).

    If you're using CD...

    Re: Getting correct cover files

If you've scanned the booklets there are a couple of UPnP apps that allow you to view them. Unfortunately the two I'm aware of are both on Android, namely BubbleUPnP and Hi-Fi Cast. Both will render...

    Re: CD Ripping....Do I have to re-rip?

Check your rips against AccurateRip using PerfectTUNES. If they verify then you're OK.

Re: Asset UPnP is not showing up.

I assume all your other devices are discovering the NAS successfully i.e. you don't have to type the IP of the NAS in to access it?

What's the IP address and subnet mask of the NAS and one of the...

    Re: Getting correct cover files

    Any recommendations for image resizers?

I've recently moved to Radical Image Optimisation Tool that's far better than what I was using (Paint.NET) but I haven't tried many. I keep the original...
  6. Re: Metadata tags in CD Ripper not universally compatible.

Mapping UPC to BARCODE in the ID Tag Processing DSP worked for me, but as I said, dBpoweramp didn't populate UPC for my test disc so I had to populate it myself.

Sometimes it's the only way, and...

    Re: is there a way..

You can apply a track offset by right-clicking on the first track in the track listing and selecting 'Apply Track Number Offset'.
  8. Re: Metadata tags in CD Ripper not universally compatible.

I would classify those as being the absolute minimum set of tags you'd want to use, but their level of support in apps and servers is more complicated than that, and it can vary by file format:

    ...
  9. Re: Metadata tags in CD Ripper not universally compatible.

I just ripped a track using the Windows version, and whilst dBpoweramp didn't pull through a UPC I did add one in the interface, but they're being output to tags that don't match the MusicBrainz...
  10. Re: Naming Files in Ripper - Using Functions with Metadata with Semicolons

Tagging applications like dBpoweramp and foobar2000 use semi-colons to visually separate the elements of multi-value tags, but the semi-colons aren't stored in the underlying tags e.g. what looks...
  11. Re: Metadata tags in CD Ripper not universally compatible.

I use foobar2000 on Windows (there is a mac version) and it allows me to search by barcode (com.apple.iTunes:BARCODE) in ALAC files. I'm afraid I can't help with other app suggestions.

    Can you add...
  12. Re: Metadata tags in CD Ripper not universally compatible.

In my FLAC files I use CATALOGNUMBER and BARCODE. If I convert them to ALAC using dbPoweramp Music Converter they're output to com.apple.iTunes:CATALOGNUMBER and com.apple.iTunes:BARCODE, which I...

    Re: Asset UPnP R2024 beta

I've just tested this on ARM 64-bit and it's working well.

    Re: Asset UPnP R2024 beta

These control points are just blindly taking the first/last (WiiM Android/iOS) upnp:artist so that will work.

    Thanks

Re: Asset UPnP is not showing up.

I've never had a Synology, but would firewall rules get configured with the Asset install (assuming there is an active firewall)?
  16. Re: Checking consistency of file names with track titles/tagged titles

If you're just comparing the tags to the filename then it might be easier to do this in Mp3tag:

This filter will show those tracks where the filename isn't <tracknumber> - <title>

    Re: Asset UPnP R2024 beta

I've just installed the beta on Linux to have a quick look and there doesn't appear to have been any change, <dc:creator> is still the only artist tag present, where we would also expect to see...

    Re: Asset UPnP R2024 beta

Does this include the fix for [SimpleArtist] as discussed previously?

My understanding is that it should just send the track artist (<upnp:artist>Artist1</upnp:artist>) as per the overrides...
  19. Re: Managing Soundtracks and Compilations of Various Artists

  20. Re: Managing Soundtracks and Compilations of Various Artists

It's really difficult to follow what's going on, but do you have the compilation flag set? I would think that removing the compilation tag would force Eversolo to fall back to using the AlbumArtist...
  21. Re: Album dublette: Understanding AccurateRip vs. SHASUM

Have you gone through the CD ripper setup guide?

It looks like the dublette A rip wasn't offset corrected (if I'm reading the logs correctly). It seems to be off by 6 samples.
  22. Re: Album dublette: Understanding AccurateRip vs. SHASUM

So a live or dj mixed disc rip will actually be missing audible samples (not that we'd notice them) at the beginning of the last track? So ripping the same disc on a Plextor (with overread enabled)...
  23. Re: Album dublette: Understanding AccurateRip vs. SHASUM

Assuming the flac isn't corrupt (check with 'flac.exe -t <input.flac>') then you can pull the audio only md5 directly from the file using:

    metaflac.exe --show-md5sum <input.flac>

    Or if not...
  24. Re: How to batch covert and keep the folder jpg image file?

Are you using the DSP 'Folder.jpg Preserve'?
  25. Re: Metadata tags in CD Ripper not universally compatible.

I use the 'ID Tag Processing' DSP to map the Artist Sort tag to ArtistSort so you could likely do something similar, depending on what format you're writing to (I'm using FLAC).
