How do I remove the (disc 1) text from the multi disc album tag
Hi,
I noticed that with a multi disc cd, dbpoweramp automatically adds the disc number to the [album] name, Like "Immaculate (Disc 1)". I don't want this, I want all tracks from all discs in 1 folder and I want to precede the track with the disc number as in:
[CODE][IFMULTI][disc][][track][/CODE]
I have looked in the faq Naming Scheme tutorial for r12/r13, but that post seems to be incorrect for version 13.3 which I am using. That tutorial assumes that the [album] tag does not automatically add the disc number (which it does), because it explains that it must be added like:
[CODE][album][IFMULTI] Disc [disc][][/CODE]
I have looked at the right/grab/del/setlen elements, but I can't figure out how I can shorten the [album] with 9 characters from the right " (disc 1)"
Thank you for any help

CD Ripper >> Options >> ID Tag & Meta Data
there is an option to switch off the disc number in album title.
Re: How do I remove the (disc 1) text from the multi disc album tag
Thank you that worked in the actual rip but the setting is ignored in the example in the "set file naming" screen.
Also the "Force no date on year" setting is ignored in the example (with "current cd meta"). This setting is also ignored in the screen header (where it displays artist, album, genre, year). It's used with the actual rip though.
Thanks

I don't find this option in release 14.
So what is the naming scheme to use to avoid (disc 1) with multi CD ?
Thank you.

Finally I found the option but at the beginning, as the last message of JeePee, it doesn't work.
I use Stadium Arcadium of Red Hot ChilLi Peppers to make my test and I don't saw automatically tag introduce ", Disc 1" in album name.
I remove the sentence and now it works perfectly.
So for the others, be careful at the automatically tag.
Thank you so much Spoon.

As you say it can be present in the metadata already, so would require to be manually removed.
