    Re: Asset UPnP for Linux

Is it a correct assumption that this would not work on a WD MyBook Live?

It would not as an intel processor is required.

I have successfully installed and set up "Asset for linux" on a vortexbox (fedora 16). When using AssetUPnP on my Windows Server 2011-based AssetNAS premiun v2, I could add inter alia new tags etc. Where do I find the corresponding files in the linux version ?
            Thanks adca1

                Thanks Spoon for you post.
I tried to follow your instructions to install the x86 version on my QNAP TS-269L.(Intel Atom- Dual core) It installs but when I try to run Asset I get errors:

                [/usr/bin/asset/bin] * ./AssetUPnP
                ./AssetUPnP: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.15' not found (required by ./AssetUPnP)
                ./AssetUPnP: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.9' not found (required by ./AssetUPnP)
                ./AssetUPnP: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.7' not found (required by ./AssetUPnP)

I take it I have some missing Libraries. Any thoughts on this?

                Thanks in advance..

Would this work on a Synology 1813+ ? I believe it has a dual core Intel processor. I'm not sure if it is possible to install in the same way as with a QNap. I have installed Minimserver, but that came as an install package that was easily installed manually via the package centre. I'd really like to run Asset on it if possible! I recently changed to the Synology from a Tranquil WHS

I would not try until we are able to fix the dependency, then it would be a matter of logging into the NAS through SSH to install with the commands listed in the first message.

I am also seeing the message... ./AssetUPnP: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.15' not found (required by ./AssetUPnP)

Waiting here with bated breath.... I am interested in getting Asset for Linux version running on my unRAID server if I can.

                          Update 3rd December

                          Fixes folder.jpg issue
Removes lib dependencies, should now work on a QNAP (intel CPU).

Note the new install filenames in the download.

                            Hello spoon

Nice to read that the lib dependencies were solved, but I could not find the install files. The links mentioned above still oint to the October version. Please provide a download link.

                            Thx
