Have you tried the AAC codec? https://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-m4a.htm
No, I have not installed the codec.
I did not know that I have to install the codec myself.
Do I still have to set the codec for a good quality?
Why is the codec not standard within?
All 3 encoders can rip in .aac?
Release 17 will include as standard.
You need the: m4a codec (AAC)
So when we will get Version 17 final?
I installed the codec. I want the best Quality in this Format.
CBR or VBR. What is better?
What are the best options?
R17 is about 6 months from release.
CBR can give best quality at maximum (highest) bit rate, if using lower bitrates then go VBR.
And what is with the Encoder Settings?
LC ACC, HE-AAC or HE-AAC v2?
Itunes or ISO?
DSP Settings?
Sorry for the Questions but there are so many options that can set up for Quality.
I want the Best Quality that is possible in that Format.

Will this be a big Update?
For best quality, do not change any of the options except bit rate.
R17 is a major update.
