Editing ID tags of network resources (Windows)

I have a bunch of mp3 files on a network share with full read/write/admin permissions.

If I right click on even one file and choose 'Edit ID-tag' it seems to take a long time and then the dialog box just appears and says no ID3 tags found. If I copy the files back to local disk I can edit them.

    This is with dbP 16.2.

    Any ideas?

Any security software? or anti malware?

Avira Antivirus Pro, default settings. Nothing in the AV log showing any form of blocking or restriction

Do you get the same behaviour, if you temporarily disable Avira Antivirus Pro?
