Convert mp3's to use in incredimail

    Hi

I am new to incredimail, but enjoy the mails with music attached, however I would like to make my own music from songs already on my computer instead of the midi tunes one can get so easily with incredimail....

I have downloaded a trial version of dbpower as someone recommended this program to do the conversion for me, but after HOURS of trying to convert a song to a small enough size to add to a letter, I am getting no-where fast, in truth I seem to make the file larger than it already was....

My music is in mp3 format, but I have tried converting to wave first, using of course dbpower... still it won't get smaller. Can someone please help me...

    Thanks Babushka

What size are you trying to achieve? and how long is the audio piece (in minutes, seconds)?

      Hi Spoon

Thanks for reply, the song is 3 minutes & 43 seconds long

Converted to a wav now it is also saying it is 37.57MBs (0/%compressed)

      Bit rate is 1.411kbps (cd)

I need the size to drop to around 300 kbs so that it will go through yahoo groups...

The 37.57MBs is way too high...as an mp3 it is only 5.1MBS (87%compressed

Hope this helps, I am new to all this..
      Thanks Kate

Select the Encoder as Wave, then choose Wave-mp3 and select the bitrate required.

Thanks for reply Spoon, unfortunately this did not work for me, so I will give up on this dbpower, It is not doing for me what it has been suggested it does..... I have tried every possible format available to me even trying Several one after the other, I did get as low as 987kbs, but that was obviously good luck, trying to take it further just INCREASED the kbs again..

          Again Thanks..

Did you pick mp3 then choose "wave-mp3" as the choice, instead of the default "Uncompressed" then play around with the bitrate.
